IBIZA CYCLING HOLIDAY ADVENTURE

Written by Kevin P on 8th February, 2017

Ibiza is for clubbers only right? Wrong.

Love Velo took 120 riders out the the White Isle a few years ago and we can’t recommend it highly enough.

The first thing to know about cycling in Ibiza is it’s a small island. That means you can stay in a great hotel, ride out each day and depending on your legs, cover large parts of the island without being too far from home. If you’re a road rider, this is a great way to see the northern and southern coasts or even head into the north east hills one day and the beautiful south west coast the next. If you prefer the rugged terrain off road, then Ibiza is a playground. With miles and miles of track through open countryside and small forests, you’re unlikely to see another person all day.

Families are also incredibly welcome and a stay in Santa Eularia or Ibiza Town gets you into the heart of Balearic culture allowing you to explore the old town, small tapas bars by the port and everything that is beautiful on this wonderful island. Visit in Spring, early summer or beginning of autumn and you won’t be disappointed. If you’re worried about bumping into bleary eyed revellers as you ride around the island, worry no longer and check this video out of the best places to visit.
