The south of Mallorca is a great option for those looking for an inexpensive quick break. Arrive into Palma and ride the same day into the mountains, coastal towns or flatlands. If you have a little longer or a slightly larger budget, check out our Port Pollensa trip.

DAY 3Son Vida & The Flatlands
Today take a ride up to Son Vida and the beautiful grounds of the golf courses up there. From Son Vida, you can cross into the beautiful rural flatlands of Llucmajor. Enjoy almond groves, stunning fincas and glorious beach rides.
DAY 4Departure (or extend your stay)
Today we will take you back to to the airport or you can choose to extend your stay in Mallorca.
The south of Mallorca is a great place to stay for some leisurely riding, or to ride up into the climbs. Stay just outside of Palma to enjoy access to climbs, flatlands, or coastal rides. Overlook the sparkling Mediterranean, ride through old fishing ports or head north to test yourself in the revered Tramuntana mountain range.
The weather in Mallorca makes it one of the most sought after destinations by bicycle. Mallorca has a relatively cool but sunny Spring and Autumn so if you’re planning on travelling between March and May and September to November, you will see a lot of bikes. You can also cycle in the summer and we would recommend beautiful early morning rides or later afternoon rides and to avoid the midday sun.
The holiday is a self guided holiday allowing you to explore southern Mallorca at your own pace. We know the area very well and have put together some recommended routes in GPX format which allows you to download these to most GPS enabled devices, and with certain software, to your smartphone. These will be sent to you once you have booked your holiday with Love Velo and each file will be titled with a short description of the ride and the distance. If you would like to see the profile of each route, we recommend that you download the files before your holiday and open them with a GPS viewer. If you would like guiding instead, please just ask our cycle experience team.
You will want to know that your bike is in great condition and that you won’t have any mechanical problems during your ride. Our bikes are extremely well serviced and maintained but in the very unlikely event there is a mechanical issue with the bike (not including basic maintenance such as slipped chains or punctures), we will provide you with an emergency number for someone to come out and repair or replace your bike.
We have the best road bikes available for hire for your holiday. Simply advise your preferred options and components and we can match the right bike for you. Our essential bike in Mallorca is a full carbon road bike with Ultegra groupset but we can upgrade or provide mountain and e-bikes. If you would like, you can upgrade your bicycle to a full carbon with DI2 electric gearing, upgraded wheels and ultra stiff frame.
We consider travel insurance to be essential. Accordingly, it is a condition of making a booking through us that you have suitable insurance cover for the booking you have made and any activities which you expect to take part in. This insurance as a minimum should cover cancellation, baggage loss, accidents and health issues while you are away. We also recommend that you take your policy details with you when you travel. Please ask our cycling experience team if you would like us to arrange travel insurance for you.
