We love the Riviera for the same reason most of the professional peloton either live here or stay here. Year round sunshine, well maintained roads, fantastic varied cycling in France and Italy from St Tropez to San Remo. From the highest climb in Europe, Col de La Bonnette to the spectacular coast road between Cannes and St Raphael, the Cote D’Azur is a cycling Mecca. We also love the extra cycling activities provided by Europe’s most prestigious holiday destination. The food, the art, the cafes, the Mediterranean, the festivals, the beaches and we could go on and on.
Whatever you want to get out of riding in the Riviera, we can organise it for you. Tootle along the coast west out of Cannes to the famous red rocks of the Esterel, meander the coast road and then head into Cannes. Or perhaps you might want to ride to the perched village of Mons via Grasse, and the beautiful Valley of the Siagne, before riding to wolf gorge.
Spend the day in Antibes, watch the boats roll in or head to world famous cols such as Col d'Eze or even ride down to San Remo over the Italian border. Whatever you want from your Riviera cycling holiday, we can organise it.
The French Riviera offers cycling for you no matter what your ability. Discover beautiful regions such as Col de Vence, Grasse and easier rides close to the coast. For keen riders, the Rhone Alpes are your playground. Visit the Tanneron and Esterel hills in the west, famous climbs such as the Col D’Eze and the Col de la Madone, in the east or head out even further towards the high Alps.
The Riviera has similar weather to that other well known cycling destination Mallorca. 300 days of sunshine guaranteed. Genuine year round cycling. November to February are the cooler wetter months but afternoon temperatures mostly reach the mid teens and most days are sunny. The proteams traditionally do their winter training here. All other months have fantastic weather but July and August can be hot! Best to ride in the early morning or early evening during the height of summer.
The holiday is a self guided holiday allowing you to explore the French Riviera on your own or with friends. However, if you prefer to be guided, we have some of the most knowledgeableand respected guides out in La Napoule on the coast.
