Sparkling seas, sundrenched hills and the gentle purring of your wheels on tarmac, there's a lot to love about cycling in Cyprus. The true beauty though lies in the fact that....whisper it....it hasn't been discovered in a way that other winter sunshine islands have.
The island offers true wilderness, endless pine tree forests and and views over the glistening Mediterranean. Visit between September and April to discover a beautiful country steeped in culture and classical mythology.
Cyprus has one of the warmest winters in the Mediterranean making it a great place for some winter cycling between December and February. It is however the autumn (September-November) and Spring (March-May) that offers probably the best climate for cycling. These seasons offer copious amounts of sunshine, cool breezes and an ideal place to cycle. The height of the summer (June-August) is too warm to cycle during the day but you can ride early in the morning and spend the rest of the day by the beach or by the pool.
You will be met and collected at Larnaca airport before being whisked away to our hotel. You will be taken back to the airport at the end of the holiday unless you have made separate arrangements to remain in Cyprus.
You will have a well trained and knowledgeable guide who will carry a comprehensive first-aid kit. In the unlikely case of any medical emergency that requires a hospital, there is ground transportation on hand to provide assistance and a local speaking support team.
If you have chosen the group guided package, the support van will be equipped with essentials such as bottled mineral water and local fruit and snacks during each day's ride. The guide will have a travel set of bike tools for emergency repairs and the support van will be equipped with spare parts and other tools.
