We have sold out of nearly all our packages and have just a couple left available. Once they are gone, we cannot get any more so don't miss the chance to take on the iconic Col d'Izoard. The 178km event is Sunday 16th July and the trips that we have remaining will be Saturday 15th July to Monday 17th July.
We can guarantee your entry to the Etape but if you already have entry, we can provide you with an accommodation only package.
British Cycling say: The climbing is tough so don’t go too hard too quickly. Check out our advice on pacing a sportive.
The Etape is the daddy of sportives, the godfather of them all and the 2017 edition is shaping up to be one of the best yet. The almost circular route means that there is no need to be waking up hours before the event to take a transfer to the start, or waiting for hours at the finish for a transfer back to the hotel. You can roll out of bed onto the start line with Love Velo, and catch a quick 15 minute ride back to the hotel after you finish, or freewheel downhill home. Couple that with our brilliantly located accommodation, amazing race atmosphere and you have got a recipe for an awesome weekend. As is usual with the Etape, we have almost sold out so book yourself entry now.
Our remaining hotel, Club Med, is based in Serre Chevalier. Make your way there or ask us about our transfers. You will need to arrive in time to pick up your race numbers from the village.<...Show Morebr>
DAY 2Race Day
Race Day! After a healthy, nutritious and filling breakfast, suitable for your challenge, you will ride to the race start, about 4km from the hotel.
After some las...Show Moret minute encouragement from the Love Velo team, it's across the starting line for your race. You will be tackling 178km of awesome cycling, culminating on the legendary Col d'Izoard.
After hopefully a successful and enjoyable race, we’ll meet you at the finish line for a beer to celebrate your achievement. From there, we will have a shuttle that will be going back and forth from Serre Chevalier and you can either jump on the transfer or freewheel (entirely downhill) back to the hotel
After a leisurely breakfast, you can either make your own way back to the airport or take one of our transfers if you have booked on to it.
This is a hosted holiday so sit back, relax and let Love Velo do the work. We will make sure you are as prepared as you can be for race day with good quality transfers if you book them, incredibly well located accommodation and as little waiting time as possible at the finish line.
We consider travel insurance to be essential. Accordingly, it is a condition of making a booking through us that you have suitable insurance cover for the booking you have made and any activities which you expect to take part in. Please note that sportives can often be classed as races by insurers and so you need to ensure you are covered to race. The insurance should also as a minimum cover cancellation, baggage loss, accidents and health issues while you are away. We also recommend that you take your policy details with you when you travel. Please ask our cycling experience team if you would like us to arrange travel insurance for you.
