This historic country is now a flourishing tourist destination, one which still carries its authentic charm, beauty and ancient ruins. Walk in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia, Moses the Prophet and Emperor Hadrian as you explore this middle eastern gem. You'll discover the lowest point on earth, the magical Dead Sea! Cover yourself in mud and float on its salty waters, before the climb up Mount Nebo, the very spot Moses looked across to the 'Promised Land'. You'll get a taste of local life as you see shepherds going about their everyday business, as well as the beautiful Jordanian landscapes, from rocky mountains to deserts to the Dana Nature Reserve.

DAY 1Arrival

You have the day to explore Jordan's capital city Amman at your leisure. They'll be a welcome meeting at the hotel in the evening followed by a dinner where you can get to know your fellow cyclists.

DAY 2Amman - Dead Sea

It's time to explore Jordan! The first sight? Get a taste of Jordan's rich history as you visit the ancient Citadel and Roman Ampitheatre, which is 3000 years old. Our first ride will incorporate a 2km ascent, followed by a descent towards the Zarga River. This river is featured in the bible as the Jabbok River, where Jacob wrestled with God. Take a transfer to the magnificent Dead Sea, where you can enjoy a float in the infamous hypersalinic waters. 

Today's cycling is approximately 19km.

DAY 3Dead Sea - Dana

Today begins below sea level, on one of the lowest points on earth! We'll take a transfer to Mount Nebo, which is the spot Moses looked across to the 'Promised Land'. They'll be scenic highlights of brown rocky mountains merged with luscious green ones, as we cycle the dirt trail to the Madaba plateau. The Wadi Zarqa Maâ and Zarqa Maâ in dam leads us to the edge of Dana Biosphere, Jordan's largest nature reserve. It provides habitat to numerous species of wildlife in Dana village, which has been populated since 4,000 BC.   

Today's cycling is approximately 28km.

DAY 4Dana - Little Petra

This morning we can explore Shobak Castle, part of the Crusader series, constructed in 1115. Today features the most ascents and they'll be a combination of dirt trails and road routes. Certified today is amazing scenery, whether its of the mountains of Ras-Al-feid and Mount Safaha or the Jordan Valley. As the elevation gets higher, our finishing point of Petra will be in sight. We'll spend the night in Bedouin camp.

Today's cycling is approximately 54km.

DAY 5Petra Discovery

To put it simply, Petra is bursting with archaeological wonders. Enjoy a tour around this stunning UNESCO World Heritage Sight, also known as a new Seventh Wounder of the World. We'll walk through the stunning entrance to the Treasury to the Siq. After lunch there is free time to use at your leisure, whether you choose to visit the Monastery for views across the sweeping Jordan Valley or the High Place of Sacrifice is entirely up to you. 

DAY 6Rajif - Wadi Rum

After cycling through some typical desert landscape, a trademark of the middle east, we'll be on our way to Wadi Um. Also known as the Valley of the Moon due to its sandstone mountains, granite formations, rocky arches and breathtaking shades of red. The largest Wadi in Jordan, it has been featured on Red Planet and Lawerence of Arabia! After lunch at the Bedouin Camp we'll catch a jeep and drive through the reserve. As the sun sets, experience a beautiful night under the stars.     

Today's cycling is approximately 51km.

DAY 7Wadi Rum - Aqaba

Today you can enjoy the unique experience of cycling on salt flats in the Wadi Rum! After a transfer to Aqaba, located on Jordan's coast line they'll be a lazy lunch on a boat as we cruise around the Red Sea. Grasp the chance to snorkel and see the vibrant coral. Tonight there will be a farewell dinner to celebrate an amazing trip. 

Today's cycling is approximately 40km.

DAY 8Departure

After breakfast it will be time to day goodbye to your fellow cyclists after an incredible trip.



Jordan is a breathtakingly beautiful and tolerant country in the heart of the Middle East. World Heritage Sites, rich culture and spectacular food make this one of the most pleasurable off the beaten track experiences you can enjoy. 


Jordan's summer's are sweltering but visit in the cooler months of November, December and January, and you will be rewarded with cool temperatures and still landscapes with just locals for company.


Your accommodation will be in a mixture of hotels, homestays and boutique residences. 
You will be met and collected at Queen Alila International Airport , just outside Amman, before being whisked away to the hotel. On the final day of the holiday, you can join the transfer from the hotel to Queen Alila International Airport, or make separate arrangements to stay. 
Your trip will include all meals. Fresh, local cuisine will be served for breakfast and lunch and bottled mineral water as well as local fruits and refreshments are provided on all cycling days. Please let our cycling experience team know if you have any dietary requirements that we need to be aware of. 
The holiday is guided by English speaking, knowledgeable, friendly guides. Your ride will be followed by a support van equipped with plenty of refreshments as well as a comprehensive first-aid kit. Alternatively, if you would like to do this tour privately, this can be arranged, just ask our cycling experts.    
You will have a well trained and knowledgeable guide who will carry a comprehensive first-aid kit. In the unlikely case of any medical emergency that requires a hospital, there is ground transportation on hand to provide assistance and a local speaking support team. 
The bike you will hire will give you a comfortable ride as you cruise through south east Asia and it is equipped with  water bottle holders and an area to keep a small day bag. We can uograde you to a full carbon raod bike too if you prefer. If you would like to bring your own bike instead, please let our cycling experience team know. 
The air conditioned support van will be equipped with essentials such as bottled mineral water and local fruit and snacks during each day's ride. The guide will have a travel set of bike tools for emergency repairs and the support van will be equipped with spare parts and other tools. 
Your bags will be collected each morning and taken from your accommodation to the next night’s accommodation. We suggest you keep a day bag with you for all your essentials. 
Travel to Jordan is not included but please ask our cycling experience team if you would like us to book flights for you.  
We consider travel insurance to be essential. Accordingly, it is a condition of making a booking through us that you have suitable insurance cover for the booking you have made and any activities which you expect to take part in. This insurance as a minimum should cover cancellation, baggage loss, accidents and health issues while you are away. We also recommend that you take your policy details with you when you travel. Please ask our cycling experience team if you would like us to arrange travel insurance for you.
