In the month of February, we were incredibly excited to book a cycling holiday for a group of 19 who wanted to ride in northern Europe this spring.
As a group made up of keen road cyclists, cycling beginners and everyone in between, we settled upon Belgium due to its accessibility for all levels of riders. The smooth, traffic-free cycle paths are ideal for road cyclists who want to get their head down whilst those looking to take it easier can pedal at their own speed and enjoy the vibrant countryside and beautiful towns. The group were sold and, once the ideal accommodation was found just outside the city of Leuven, they began counting down the days to their perfect cycling holiday.
Leuven is one of the most picturesque of Flanders’ cities. Its 15th-century architecture gives it a traditional edge whilst the town adopts a youthful and lively vibe, likely due to the breweries and beer culture that you’ll observe in a number of the cities and towns.
What made this unique trip even better was its link to the Northern Classics that take place in the area each Spring. Following in the path of cycling pros and being in Flanders during the famous one-day races will ensure there is a real buzz in the region during their stay here. As lovers of cycling, we’re confident that they’ll all enjoy an unforgettable cycling holiday in Belgium this April.
Our cycling holidays are completely flexible and nothing is ever too crazy. If you’re looking for group cycling holidays in Europe, Asia or beyond, we’re here to help!
