The Båstad 198 is the newest Milestone sporting event with two sensational routes through some of the most impressive landscapes in the region. The Milestone Series is famous for hosting the Mallorca 312, an epic sportive in the Tramuntana Mountains. Race day is the 13th September 2020.
The total number of participants cycling in the Båstad 198 is 2000 cyclists and the required speed is 22km/h. The first, and hardest route is 198 km with 2058 metres of climbing and leads you through Skottorp, Knäred, Ecket and Grevie. The second route is easier, yet still challenging at 108 km with 1158 metres of climbing and leads you through Skottorp, Hasslöv, Förslöv, Grevie and Torekov. The start and end of both routes is Båstad.
There is accommodation in Båstad at the Hotel Riviera Strand and Torekov for 2 nights with bed and breakfast or half board. However, we can tailor your stay to you if you’d like to have more nights at your accommodation. On the course there is medical care available at all times and you will be treated to an official jersey, and a Goodie Bag. There are also going to be 3 feeding stations en route, all with food and drinks. The route is partially closed to traffic and therefore safe to cycle. After the race there is a Pasta Party and you will receive a Finisher medal.

Båstad is one of the most popular holiday resorts in Sweden and has a lot of history to offer, for example the popular wooden shoes that serve as a perfect souvenir. The city is also home of the Troentorp Clog, formerly known as Båstad Clogs. Troentorp Clogs have been handcrafted in Båstad since 1907 and continue to be produced with the original wooden design. In Sweden the view from the top of the hills down to the water and the landscape is simply wonderful and unique, making for the perfect cycling route. You will not only see lots of forest, but also animals or unique areas of beauty.
