The Eifel is recognised as one of the most beautiful to ride a sportive in Germany and Belgium. There is always incredible views of many mountains such as the Seimersberg, Steinberg, Apert and many more. The Eifel 205 will be an epic event in a stunning environment.

As soon as it gets warm in Germany many Germans get their bikes out of the cellar and start cycling. Riding your bike is popular, because there are many well developed cycle paths, and the roads are also in perfect condition. In Eifel, cycling is one of the main activities within the surrounding nature.

The Eifel 205 is a single-day cycling event on the 22nd August 2020 that offers 3 spectacular routes to choose from. The total number of riders will be 4000, giving you a true sportive experience. You can either cycle 205km (3750m ascent), 170km (3118m ascent) or 107km (2049m ascent) with the minimum speed generally at 22km/h. Bitburg will be the headquarters of the German edition of Milestone Series. The Milestone Series is a premium Gran Fondo portfolio that is held in cycling’s most iconic locations worldwide, with the same format and quality seal as the Mallorca 312. The Eifel 205 circuit will cover cities such as Waxweiler, Heilhausemühle, Firsthsus Bleialf and Brandscheid.

During the race there will be a medical care available and mechanical services. Every rider will receive a goodie bag, an official jersey and a finisher medal. There are also going to be 4 feeding stations, all with food and drinks for you to refuel. After the ride there will even be a pasta party to get those energy levels back up! In Bitburg you can choose accommodation for two nights on a bed and breakfast or half board basis. We can tailor make your stay in Bitburg if you would like to extend your trip or visit neighbouring areas.

What to ExpectFrom Epic Climbs to Stunning Nature

The area is perfect for cycling, because it is surrounded by greenery and offers a breathtaking view of mountains and nature. The roads are also in very good condition, and they are closed from the traffic on the day of the race. Enjoy the serenity as the country roads lead you through the wonderful forests of the Eifel. The city of Bitburg will be the starting point and finish of this event. Originating here is the most famous Bitburger company and landmark of the city, the Bitburger Brewery. The Pilsen-style lager is the most famous beer in Germany, so at the end of the event it is worth going to a restaurant and having a well deserved pint.
