The clocks went back and you could hear the collective groan as darkness enveloped offices across the land. Our light is diminishing each day and that makes us sad. And we want to be happy. So, we have come up with our 3 favourite holidays for maximising daylight in our darkest hour. Let there be light!

Tenerife, Sunset 18:20

Escape to the island of eternal Spring and enjoy warm weather cycling this winter. Best of all, the sun doesn’t set across the island until a whopping 6.20pm. That’s almost 11 hours of daylight to explore Mt Teide or just chill by the pool. Sign us up!

Kerala, India Sunset 18:01

Quite simply, Kerala is tranquility in amongst India’s chaos. It offers cool, mountain air, authentic fresh foods and spices but best of all, it is known for its networks of backwaters. Straits of water intersect each other all the way to Kerala’s tip and if you haven’t seen sunset over the backwaters, well, you haven’t seen a sunset yet.

Gran Canaria Sunset 18:16

The perfect destination for some cycling or relaxing, Gran Canaria is an oasis in the Atlantic. Escape to the north of the island where it is quiet and authentic and away from the crowds. Skirt the Valle de Agaete, the cliffs that plunge into the sea and watch the sunset over the crystal waters.
