Where to travel this year: Advice from our 2018 travellers

Written by Jonathan B on 4th January, 2019

With 2018 over and the festive celebrations coming to an end, we’re starting to plan for the year ahead. With new itineraries being introduced every month it’s a very exciting time to be choosing your next cycling holiday destination. But don’t just take it from us, hear about the best trips of 2018 from people who travelled with us last year, and start planning your 2019 adventure today.

Cycle Attack on Mont Ventoux (followed by a trip to Girona!)

In September, Ventoux hosted another group of excited travellers looking to conquer the famous French mountain. The group enjoyed a stay in the stunning Provence region before tackling the 1912m climb. With accommodation in the local French town of Bedoin, access to the climb was perfect whilst there were also a number of excellent places to unwind with great food and well-earned drinks. We’re excited to send more people here in 2019 and are delighted to be working with Andy again this year to plan their group cycling holiday to Girona. Mallorca Never Disappoints

Mallorca is like a second home to us. For years we’ve sent groups to the sunny Balearic Island. Our network of contacts ensures your trip runs seamlessly from start to finish. Within three hours of his plane landing, David was on the bike and exploring the beauty of Mallorca, riding out to Cap Formentor and tackling Sa Calobra. The island is, unsurprisingly, one of our favourite places to travel and we can’t recommend cycling here enough. If you’re unsure where to go in 2019 and you’ve never visited Mallorca, this is the trip for you.Review about Love Velo

The Maratona dles Dolomites

One of the best things about the new year coming around is that the countdown to the next Maratona dles Dolomites can officially begin. Each year we bring more and more people to the famous Italian mountains for the annual sportive. Following a successful 2018, we can’t wait to get back out there and cycle what is, in our opinion, the best sportive in Europe. Click here for more info on the event or follow this link for information on other European Sportives.Review about Love Velo

Vietnam – A bespoke cycling holiday in Asia

At the start of the year, a group of passionate riders packed their bags and set off to Vietnam for an unforgettable cycling holiday. Our cycling holidays in Asia are growing increasingly popular as more people discover the joys of discovering a new country on a bike. Travelling on two wheels allows you to discover the hidden gems of the country as well as the major tourist spots. If you’re looking for a truly unique adventure in 2019, enquire about our Asia cycling holidays here. Review about Love Velo

Last Minute Lanzarote

For our final 2019 bucket list destination, we’re heading to the Canary Islands where Lanzarote awaits. We loved this trip as we were able to send two friends off on a last minute holiday. If you happen to find yourself with some time off work, get in contact and we’ll sort your last minute holiday without a fuss.Review about Love Velo
