Day By Day Angkor Wat Family Cycling Holiday

Day 1Arrival

You will meet in Siem Reap and have a traditional Khmer dinner for your first night before heading to Phare, an acrobatic Cambodian circus.

Day 2Tomb Rider

Today you’ll explore the magnificent Angkor Wat, classed at the ‘Eighth Wonder of the World’. You’ll also have a look round Ta Prohm, filming location for the film Tomb Raider. The beauty of this temple lies in it being completely untouched and you will find the trees and forest enveloping the temples.

This afternoon it’s time to learn some Khmer, before an short afternoon trek through a jungle.

Day 3Angkor Temples

Today you’ll cycle back to the Angkor temples, visiting the Angkor Thom and Bayon temple, a series of faces carved out of stone. After lunch you’ll have saved the best until last, the jaw dropping Angkor Wat. This afternoon it’s time to get creative as you try your hand at pottery making before an enjoying a barbecue.

Day 4Paddle and Pedal

Today you will explore Tonle Sap, a series of fully functioning floating villages. You’ll kayak through a majestic forest before enjoying lunch at a house on stilts. This afternoon is a gentle ride and your final dinner in Cambodia will be at one of Siem Reap’s oldest restaurants.

How's the Weather? in Siem Reap

Dry SeasonNovember to April
The dry season runs from November until April. During this period it is usually very sunny, warm and humid with temperatures ranging between 25 -35 degrees. The best time to visit Angkor Wat is from the beginning of December until the end of January and it is also the best time for sunrises and sunsets. You will experience almost no rainfall as you move into March and April.
Wet SeasonMay to October
Rain showers can be expected between May and October although in October it is quiet hot and rain so is only sporadic. It is also the most picturesque time to be in Cambodia. June through to August are cool and rain will fall in the evenings and at night.
