From Larnaca we will take you to the village of Tochni. Your stay will be in a traditional village cottage room, fully renovated with all modern comforts.
Your trip today takes in Lefkara Kornos Skarinou. After a delicious Cyprus breakfast comprised of fresh organic ingredients, your journey starts with a transfer from Tochni to Lefkara, a village in the mountains of Larnaca where you can learn more about the famous embroidery and Silvercraft. From Lefkara village you will descend to Kornos for a truly unique pottery making experience. We will stopover to enjoy a traditional Cypriot coffee boiled on sand, a coffee making technique preserved among the countryside.
Your cycling today heads out to Chirokitia, Governors beach before finishing at Limassol. Before reaching Limassol you will cycle to your first destination Chirokitia’s Neolithic Settlement followed by the Archaeological site of “Tenta” in Kalavasos. The ride will end at one of the 5 ancient kingdoms “The Kingdom of Amathus” located at the outskirts of Limassol. Limassol has undergone major investment to restore its cultural past in its former glory.
Today you will visit Kolossi Castle and Wine Museum, the Kourio Amphitheatre and the Apollon Ylates Temple on a unique rode through Cypriot history. You will follow a cycle path along the coast of Limassol before visiting a Castle in the old city of Limassol. You will get the chance to learn about the history of Cyprus wine grown in vineyards that have survived centuries.
Today you will visit the Macheras Monastery and Lefkara world knows for its unique handicrafts. You will ride to the nearby scenic village of Vavatsinia famous for its wild berries. From there you will visit the traditional and remote village of Mantra tou Kampiou before riding up to the Macheras monastery. The ride back to Tochni is on one of the nicest downhill single-trails in Cyprus.
Today you will ride to Agros to visit the roses Museum before riding up to the traditional villages of Chandria, Polystipos and Lagoudera. Your riding will be on single track, quiet cycle paths for much of the day.
We will take you back to the airport for your return flight.
