You Cycling Training Camp with Rowe & King

Day by Day

Day 1Monday 18th March - Arrival
Total distance40km

Upon arrival in Palma airport, you will be picked up and taken to the Monnaber Nou Hotel in Campanet. Check in, relax and enjoy the beauty of your surroundings. We will build the bikes today (or have them delivered if you’re hiring) before heading out on a 40km warm up ride across the flatlands to spin the legs. Use this ride to ensure your bike is fitted correctly and to explore the beautiful landscape whilst getting to know the rest of the group.

This evening, enjoy drinks and dinner with the Rowe & King Coaching Team. You will have the chance to meet the coaches and find out more about the week ahead, creating personal goals for your training camp.

Day 2Tuesday 19th March
Total distance120km

Today’s ride will introduce you to the beauty of Mallorca. You’ll begin your training camp with a steady ride along the stunning coastal paths before taking on a few gradual ascents to test the legs. Choose between a long ride of 120km or a shorter ride of 100km.

Enjoy a dinner with the whole group at the hotel where you’ll be given more details on your ride tomorrow.

Day 3Wednesday 20th March
Total distance160km

Today you will be introduced to some of the mountains that make Mallorca such a popular place for cyclists. The team will be on hand to offer you advice and guidance on how to tackle the ascents.

Similar to the previous day, there will be a choice to two distances to ride. Take on the 100km route or the longer 160km ride before relaxing in the hotel, making use of the luxury spa, pool, tennis and bar facilities on site. In the evening, you will enjoy some dinner and drinks before finding out what the plan is for the easier day tomorrow.

Day 4Thursday 21th March
Total distance30km

On the middle day of the camp, you will enjoy an easy 30km ride to one of our favourite coffee shops on the island. Take your time and enjoy the surroundings before returning to the hotel in the afternoon where Rowe & King will host an in depth seminar on all things cycling. From coaching and training advice to Q&A’s with the team and more, you’ll get to know the coaches and find out all their secret tips for riding success.

Rest up this evening before the next two days on the bike, exploring the rest of the magnificent island.

Day 5Friday 22nd March
Total distance120km

Choose between an 80km or a 120km ride as your guide takes you on another unforgettable route around the island. Today is different to the previous days on the bike as you will have the option to learn about specific road cycling disciplines. Take part in a Time Trailing Effort before being briefed on Team Time Trialling Technique and coming together as a group to record the best time possible.

This is a great day for anyone who has never ridden competitively as you will experience the collective joys of riding with a team. Rowe & King’s years of experience means you will be provided with advice that has proven to be successful both on the track and on the road.

Day 6Saturday 23rd March
Total distance120km

The penultimate day of the camp will see you enjoy an 80km or 120km ride around the island. On today’s ride you will have the option to include specific sprint efforts, using the advice and guidance you have been given over the week to get the best out of your riding. By now you will be noticing a significant improvement in your ability. This ride around the Tramuntana mountain range will be an experience you’ll never forget.

Head back to the hotel for the final evening of the camp and enjoy a great meal followed by drinks with the whole team.

Day 7Sunday 24th March
Total distance60km

You will start your final day in Mallorca with a 60km morning ride. This will be a great close to the week as you recap the techniques and skills that have been shared with you.

Once you return to your hotel, take the time to say goodbye to the hosts, Rowe & King, as well as the other riders you’ve met throughout the week. We will take you back to the airport for your return flight or, alternatively, if you’re extending your trip, we can arrange for a transfer to your next accommodation.
