Day 1Arrival

This trip is entirely flexible and can be tailored to your requirements. Arrive on any day and stay for as long as you like. This itinerary is just our suggested itinerary.

Arrive in Barcelona or Girona and we will be waiting to take you to the hotel. Check in and relax or explore the wonderful medieval town of Girona. You can pick up your bicycle the day you arrive and your meeting point is located a few hundred meters from a number of great hotels that we use.

Day 2Els Angels

The Els Angels loop is one of the most famous rides in Girona and we recommend you try this today. It is a favourite of the pros that live and train here. It’s a great welcome to Girona too as the route crosses the Les Gavarres mountains twice but the ride is a relatively relaxing 60km route. You can also follow the 2009 Tour de France route out to Cass de la Selva.

The Sant Hilari route is one the best training rides in the area and is used extensively by the Cannondale pro team. The climb is a challenging 25km but the ascent is quite gradual.

Day 4Olot Loop

Today you can ride the Olot loop, one of the longer rides in the area. You will ride over 1,500m of vertical ascent so you will need plenty in your legs.

This ride has been made famous by David Millar and features one of the highest and the most challenging mountains in Girona, the Rocacorba climb.
