Arrive into Murcia and you will be picked up and taken to Aguilas on the coast. Spend the day relaxing at the port or enjoy the beach at Playa de las Delicias.
Remember this is a specific itinerary but we can tailor it if you like.
Today you can acclimatise to riding in Murcia with a fairly easy ride along the west coast to La Muleria. The ride is about 65km and heads towards the old fisherman village of Villaricos. From here you will ride a fairly easy ascent up El Capitan where you won’t ascend over 400m, so it’s a nice ride to get your cycling legs. From here, you will head back to the hotel to spend a day relaxing at the spa.
Today is a fairly lengthy day in the saddle and you will start to get some climbing into your legs. You will head east toward Puntas de Calnegre which offers a good chunk of the day’s 1,300m of climbing, before a ride down to the coast. After a drink by the beach, your ride will head towards the mountain of Moreras until you hit the little village of Morata. From here, you will ride back on the route you came from.
Today we recommend that you ride to Campo Lopez in the mountains. A valley between the mountains takes you all the way to Campo López. before you descend to Morata, where you will have ridden the day before. The first 12km back to Mazarron see you climb, before a flat section takes you back to the hotel.
Today you will be taken back to Murcia airport but remember, our trips are entirely tailor made and bespoke so this itinerary can be altered in any way you want.
Cycling in Aguilas offers incredibly quiet riding and traffic free roads. Bathed in sunshine nearly all year round, the Region of Murcia offers riding deep into autumn as temperatures are regularly in the 20s deep into November.
