Day 2Els Angels

The Els Angels climb and loop is one of the most famous routes in Girona and we recommend you try this today. It is a favourite of the pros and you might well see them on the roads, and certainly on your Strava segments. Els Angels is a great welcome to Girona too as the route crosses the Les Gavarres mountains twice but the ride is a relatively easy 60km route. You can also, if you want to add some mileage to the ride, follow the 2009 Tour de France route out to Cass  de la Selva.

This ride has been made famous by David Millar and features one of the highest and the most challenging mountains in Girona, the Rocacorba climb.

This climb has gained notoriety in recent years for its relentless, brutal nature. It will certainly challenge you with a steep gradient and long distance. Keep an eye out for professionals who use this ride for training.
