Mallorca's culture has often been in the shadow of its pristine beaches or dramatic mountains, and this is your chance to experience the road less travelled. Across the island, large manor houses and stately homes, are being revamped and refined as retreats perfect for wellness, relaxation and of course cycling.
We have handpicked some of the best fincas for cycling and lifestyle in Mallorca. All properties are equipped with spas, swimming pools but most importantly, incredible views in secluded locations.
We will provide you with the best cycling routes, whether you are looking to ride one of our e-bikes, ride with your family, or attack the best climbs including Sa Calobra, Puig Major and Cap Formentor.
We can arrange your holidays either a single destination or multi centre holiday depending on your requirements so just let us know your preference when you make your enquiry.
So come and experience traditional Mallorca spending silent rides among the olive, carob and almond groves.
If you're looking for some easy cycling under blue Mediterranean skies, look no further than Mallorca. Beautiful stone wall lined roads meander their way through orange groves, almond orchards and pine woods. You can visit secluded beaches, explore tiny Mallorcan villages serving extraordinary tapas and discover small authentic towns as you cross the plains from coast to coast.
The weather in Mallorca makes it one of the most sought after destinations by bicycle. The island offers amazing riding in great weather to attract cyclists from all over the world. Mallorca has a relatively cool but sunny Spring and Autumn so if you’re planning on travelling between March and May and September to November, you will see a lot of bikes. You can also cycle in the summer and we would recommend beautiful early morning rides or later afternoon rides and to avoid the midday sun.
The holiday is a self guided holiday allowing you to explore southern Mallorca at your own pace. We know the area very well and have put together some recommended routes in GPX format which allows you to download these to most GPS enabled devices, and with certain software, to your smartphone. These will be sent to you once you have booked your holiday with Love Velo and each file will be titled with a short description of the ride and the distance. If you would like to see the profile of each route, we recommend that you download the files before your holiday and open them with a GPS viewer. If you would like guiding instead, please just ask our cycle experience team.
You will want to know that your bike is in great condition and that you won’t have any mechanical problems during your ride. Our bikes are extremely well serviced and maintained but in the very unlikely event there is a mechanical issue with the bike (not including basic maintenance such as slipped chains or punctures), we will provide you with an emergency number for someone to come out and repair or replace your bike.
We have the best bikes available for hire for your holiday. Simply advise your preferred options and components and we can match the right bike for you. Our essential bike in Mallorca is a full carbon road bike with Ultegra groupset and we can provide upgrades too but we can provide mountain and e-bikes if you prefer.
We consider travel insurance to be essential. Accordingly, it is a condition of making a booking through us that you have suitable insurance cover for the booking you have made and any activities which you expect to take part in. This insurance as a minimum should cover cancellation, baggage loss, accidents and health issues while you are away. We also recommend that you take your policy details with you when you travel. Please ask our cycling experience team if you would like us to arrange travel insurance for you.
