Meet in Phnom Penh in the morning and take the transfer provided to Takeo Province. Your first sight in Cambodia will be the infamous and sombre Killing Fields, used by the Khmer Rouge to carry out their murderous regime. From here, you’ll move to Banteay and start cycling to Kep, a beautiful resort on the beach where you’ll spend the night in an eco lodge.
The first attraction today is a temple with a difference as it’s in a cave. Next on your cycling holidays in Cambodia you’ll encounter serene fishing villages en route to Kampot, a riverside town where you’ll stop for lunch. The afternoon ride will lead to Ream National Park, renowned for its green forest and idyllic beach.
Today you’ll take on some awesome trail riding through the jungle. The scenic route takes you along ox cart trails to a former Khmer Rouge Commander’s house and a pier, where a boat will be waiting to transfer you back to the beach. Tonight you’ll catch a transfer to Chi Phat and take a short ride before dinner at a home stay.
Departing Chi Phat, it will be time for some off road cycling. Today’s rustic route takes you through a flowing river to land formally ruled by ancient tribes. The path will vary from mud to sand, which will challenge your technique and stamina. When you need to take a break and cool down, there will be multiple stop offs at waterfalls.
The starting point for today’s cycling is Trapueng Rung. The ride today encompasses enchanting rain forest with a few hills for you to tackle. Tatai waterfalls will signal the end of today’s cycling, but not before a jump and swim in them to cool off. The eco lodge for tonight will be reached by a boat along the Kep River.
Today is a free day. Relax, take a kayak along the river or enjoy the waterfalls. For those feeling a little more adventurous you can take on a hike.
Today it will be time to say goodbye to Cambodia and hello to Thailand, but not before a gentle ride and final hill to Koh Kong. After crossing the border, you’ll catch a transfer to this evening’s hotel.
The first stop off of the day is Thailand’s second largest city, Koh Chang. You’ll get a sense of the laid back Thai culture, cycling through authentic villages, past beautiful temples and crossing the Trat River. This afternoon, relax in Koh Chang, on a stunning white sand beach, before your farewell dinner.
This morning is set aside for relaxation before your transfer to Bangkok, where it will be time to say goodbye after an incredible trip.
