Your Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival
Private transfer to Cabras or make your own way – either way, your Sardinian journey starts here. Settle into this tranquil town near the coast, soak up the evening light, and prepare yourself for the adventure ahead.
Day 2 – Explore the Sinis Peninsula
36km total distance
Ease into the week with a gentle loop through the Sinis wetlands. You'll spot colonies of pink flamingos, wander past gleaming quartz beaches, and stand among the ancient Phoenician ruins of Tharros – one of the island’s most breathtaking spots. Later, roll through the historic streets of Oristano before reaching the peaceful village of Arborea.
Day 3 – Ride the Costa Verde to Piscinas
46km total distance
It’s time to ride into the wild. This stretch through the Costa Verde delivers some of Sardinia’s most savage, untouched landscapes. Wind your way through craggy terrain and finish on the golden sands of Piscinas, where Europe’s tallest dunes rise dramatically from the shoreline. Remote, raw and utterly unforgettable.
Day 4 – Discover the Mines of Sulcis
41km total distance
Today’s ride dives into Sardinia’s mining past. Glide through the eerie remnants of Ingortosu and Planusartu, where nature slowly reclaims these once-bustling sites. After skirting the beach at Portixeddu and gazing up at the mighty Pan di Zucchero sea stack, descend the 540 steps to Nebida’s dramatic sea-clinging ore washery.
Day 5 – Cycle the Island of Carloforte
43km total distance
Begin your day with a breezy descent to Fontanamare, where a short ferry hop whisks you to Carloforte. This island gem still lives by the rhythms of tuna fishing and Ligurian tradition. From here, ride to neighbouring Sant’Antioco and finish in the relaxed port town of Calasetta, surrounded by sea views and easy charm.
Day 6 – Cruise from Calasetta to Sant’Anna Arresi
40km total distance
Roll through the mellow landscapes of southern Sardinia, where spring meadows burst with green and summer fields glow golden. Stop to admire the Romanesque sanctuary at Tratalias, then spin along the edge of Lake Monte Pranu. This is a peaceful day of effortless beauty and gentle riding.
Day 7 – Ride the South Coast to Pula
57km total distance
Your final ride is a real showstopper. The Costa del Sud delivers glittering beaches, towering cliffs and ancient watchtowers. Ride past Cape Malfatano and Cape Spartivento, where the views stretch forever. Before reaching Pula, take time to explore the ancient ruins of Nora – a fitting final chapter to an epic journey.
Day 8 - Departure
Enjoy breakfast before your transfer to Cagliari airport.

What our Cyclists Say
Awesome customer Service like it used to be. When planning my husband's 50th birthday and knowing very little about cycling I decided to try Love Velo and I can't recommend them, and the service I've received from James Danvers highly enough.

I booked through Love Velo because the reviews were so good. I wasn't disappointed. Right from my first contact with LV they were easy to talk to and although I dithered (my first cycling trip abroad) they didn't press me. When I eventually confirmed my booking they took care of everything.

Everything about Love Velo has been faultless. From the initial notification of them teaming up with Le Col and to the pricing being unbelievable and then the customer service, top class. James, if all the staff are as attentive to every detail as you are then everyone will be as lucky as I have been. 100% at some point, hopefully in the near future I will be booking again with you guys. Thank you again
