Your Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival into Pula
Your adventure begins with your arrival in Pula. Whether you transfer in or make your own way, this charming town in southern Sardinia is the perfect place to get your bearings, breathe in that salty sea air and prepare for the journey ahead.
Day 2 - Ride to Chia
60km total distance
Time to stretch those legs. Your warm-up ride heads south to Chia, where you’ll find one of Sardinia’s most stunning beaches. Picture crystal-clear waters, soft white sand, and views that will have you pinching yourself. The ride back hugs the coastline, offering sweeping views across the Mediterranean. It’s a route that will steal your heart before you’ve even broken a sweat.
Today's ride is 60km/700m
Day 3 - Pula to Santadi
49km total distance
Today you’re heading inland and up into the wild heart of Sardinia. The Mediterranean forest opens up around you, its earthy scent filling the air as you climb the twisting roads of Pixinamanna up to 700 metres above sea level. The descent? Pure joy. Your reward is a night in a cosy agriturismo nestled among the Carignano del Sulcis vineyards – and yes, there’s local wine on the table.
Today's ride is 49km/1,100m
Day 4 - Santadi to Domusnovas
47km total distance
This morning your first stop is the village of Tratalias, with its romantic church dedicated to S. Maria di Montserrat. The ‘ghost’ village with just a few renovated stone houses will take you back to the enchanted ancient Tatalia, once enclosed by three ‘Baroque’ arches (two are still intact). You then descend towards Porto Pino through the beautiful countryside and vineyards.

Day 5 - Domusnovas to Buggerru
50km total distance
Today’s ride is packed with drama – and we mean the good kind. Start by cycling through the epic San Giovanni cave. On the other side lies the forest of Marganai, a thick, rugged wilderness that feels completely untouched. Visit the forgotten Roman temple of Antas before finishing with a thrilling descent to the coast. Your day ends by the sea in Buggerru, overlooking the spectacular bay of Portixeddu.
Today's ride is 50km/1,250mDay 6 - Buggerru to Montevecchio
50km total distance
Ride alongside Sardinia’s raw, unspoilt coastline all the way to Scivu beach, a secret haven where the waves crash against golden sands. Pass through the hauntingly beautiful mining villages of Ingortosu and Montevecchio – echoes of a different era that add a touch of mystery to your journey. This is a day for coastal magic and quiet contemplation.
Today's ride is 50km/1,000mDay 7 - Montevecchio Loop
40km total distance
Your final loop ride is all about ending on a high. Quite literally. Cycle out to the otherworldly beach of Piscinas, where towering sand dunes rise over 50 metres high – some of the biggest in Europe. From there, you’ll climb inland one last time, following the craggy silhouette of Monte Arcuentu. It’s the perfect way to say farewell to Sardinia – with legs tired, heart full, and spirit soaring.
Today's ride is 40km/850mDay 8 - Arrivederci, Sardinia
After breakfast, it’s time to pack up and head home. But don’t be surprised if a part of you stays behind – lost somewhere between the sea, the mountains, and the freedom of the open road.

What our Cyclists Say
Awesome customer Service like it used to be. When planning my husband's 50th birthday and knowing very little about cycling I decided to try Love Velo and I can't recommend them, and the service I've received from James Danvers highly enough.

I booked through Love Velo because the reviews were so good. I wasn't disappointed. Right from my first contact with LV they were easy to talk to and although I dithered (my first cycling trip abroad) they didn't press me. When I eventually confirmed my booking they took care of everything.

Everything about Love Velo has been faultless. From the initial notification of them teaming up with Le Col and to the pricing being unbelievable and then the customer service, top class. James, if all the staff are as attentive to every detail as you are then everyone will be as lucky as I have been. 100% at some point, hopefully in the near future I will be booking again with you guys. Thank you again
