The start of your journey is in Amman, an ancient town influenced heavily by its biblical history, but also with a contemporary feel. Consider arriving a day early to make the most of your time in Amman and subject to availability we can arrange an extra night of accommodation for you. Included:
    • Hotel
  2. Day 2 - Jerash, Dead Sea and Madaba

    30km total distance

A vehicle transfer will take you to Jerash, which has been inhabited since the Bronze Age, and is home to ruins of a Greco-Roman settlement. Your first cycle ride begins by the Dead Sea at 400m below sea level. Admire the incredible views of red stone cliffs towering above, and Israel in the distance. End the day by lying on the shores of the Dead Sea at Amman Beach before being transferred back to Madaba.

    • Hotel
    • Bed & Breakfast
    • Entry To The Roman Ruins At Jerash

Float on the Dead Sea after today's ride
  3. Day 3 - Mount Nebo & Shobak

    43km total distance

This morning, you will be driven to Mount Nebo, a legendary site that will teach you more about Jordan's rich culture. For here is where Moses is said to have seen the Promised Land. It is believed that at age 120, Moses died and was buried somewhere in the area. After, head down to Mukawir, which is a 700m hill where Castle of Herod the Great is located. Then, transfer to Dana where you'll stay the night on the edge of Wadi Dana's gorge and surrounded by stunning scenery.

    Included:
    • Hotel
    • Bed & Breakfast
    • Fully Supported Guided Riding
    • Entrance to Mt Nebo
  4. Day 4 - Little Petra & Bedouin Camp

    46km total distance

Be driven to Shobak Castle, built by King Baldwin I in 1115 and the first of 6 Crusader castles in Jordan. It was occupied in the 14th century by the Mamluks who built over many of the Crusader buildings. Next, cycle to Little Petra and enjoy views of mountains and the Jordan Valley. Here you get a glimpse into a less touristy archaeological site 5km away from the famous Petra. Cycle around the corner to the Bedouin campsite where you'll spend the night.

    Included:
    • Bedouin Camp
    • Bed & Breakfast
    • Lunch & Dinner
    • Fully Supported Guided Riding
  5. Day 5 - Petra

There is no cycling today as you have the opportunity to explore Petra, one of the worlds 7 wonders. The UNESCO heritage site was carved into the red sandstone 2000 years ago, earning the name 'Rose City'. The arrival of Romans in 63 B.C. meant expansion and the creation of the theatre and the treasury. Choose to avoid the crowds after wandering around the main sites, and visit the monastery, the Khubtha Mountain or High Place of Sacrifice.

    Included:
    • Hotel
    • Bed & Breakfast
    • Petra Guided Tour
  6. Day 6 - Wadi Araba & Aqaba

    45km total distance

Today will be focused on cycling, although it is not a challenging route. For the most part, you will be cycling downhill (1200m in total) using winding roads that snake through the mountains of Wadi Araba into the luscious Jordan Valley. You will then be transferred by vehicle to Aqaba to avoid the traffic on the Kings Highway.

    Included:
    • Hotel
    • Bed & Breakfast
    • Fully Supported Guided Riding
  7. Day 7 - Wadi Rum

    29km total distance

Spend the morning relaxing on the shores of the Red Sea before being transferred along the well-known Desert Highway. Then, cycle to the desert of Wadi Rum alongside the ancient Hejaz Railway. After a late lunch you'll be treated to a jeep ride safari into the heart of Wadi Rum where you can admire the Seven Pillars of Wisdom rock formation and watch one of the most beautiful sunsets. Your dinner this evening will be in the company of the local Bedouin community beside the warm fire and under the breathtaking starry sky.

    • Bed & Breakfast
    • Lunch & Dinner
    • Fully Supported Guided Riding

    42km total distance

Today will be an epic adventure across Q'disi's salt flats, with a stop for lunch along the way. After 42km of riding through the vast landscape, you'll be transferred back to Madaba. Once in Madaba, perhaps arrange a dinner with your fellow cyclists to reminiscence on your adventure, and sample the Jordan cuisine for the last time.

    Included:
    • Hotel
    • Bed & Breakfast
    • Fully Supported Guided Riding
  9. Day 9 - Madaba

You are now free to explore at your leisure, as the trip has ended. Checkout is before noon, allowing you to have a lie in before heading to the airport.

What our Cyclists Say

Awesome customer Service like it used to be. When planning my husband's 50th birthday and knowing very little about cycling I decided to try Love Velo and I can't recommend them, and the service I've received from James Danvers highly enough.

I booked through Love Velo because the reviews were so good. I wasn't disappointed. Right from my first contact with LV they were easy to talk to and although I dithered (my first cycling trip abroad) they didn't press me. When I eventually confirmed my booking they took care of everything.

Everything about Love Velo has been faultless. From the initial notification of them teaming up with Le Col and to the pricing being unbelievable and then the customer service, top class. James, if all the staff are as attentive to every detail as you are then everyone will be as lucky as I have been. 100% at some point, hopefully in the near future I will be booking again with you guys. Thank you again
