Your Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 - Touch Down in Bled
Touch down in Bled and breathe in the crisp alpine air – your adventure starts here. Nestled in the heart of Slovenia, Bled is the stuff of postcards, with its fairy-tale lake, cliff-top castle, and the iconic island church. Your 4-star hotel (such as Hotel Lovec) sits right in the town centre, making it easy to head out and explore. Don’t leave without trying a slice of Kremšnita cream cake – ideally on the sunny terrace of the Park Hotel.
Day 2 - Bled Sightseeing Spin
15km total distance
Ease into the trip with a relaxed loop around Lake Bled. Pedal up to the castle for panoramic views, then take a traditional Pletna boat or grab the oars yourself for a visit to the island church. If you're chasing the ultimate Instagram shot, hike up to Osojnica, the view is worth every step.
Day 3 - Kropa & Radovljica Loop
45km total distance
Cycle at the base of the mighty Jelovica Plateau with views into Triglav National Park. Stop in Kropa, the blacksmith capital of Slovenia, you can even forge your own nail. Then it’s on to the charming old town of Radovljica, where beekeeping heritage meets ice cream heaven. Cool your feet at Sobec Pond before gliding back into Bled.
Day 4 - Folk Tunes & Castle Ruins
44km total distance
Ride to Begunje, home of Slovenian folk legend Slavko Avsenik. Grab lunch at his family-run restaurant before checking out Kamen Castle and the poignant Museum of Hostages. Stop by Brezje Basilica on your return, a spiritual pitstop and a local favourite.
Day 5 - Gorges & Glacial Wonders
22km total distance
Kick off with the Pokljuka Gorge, a hidden gem carved by retreating glaciers. Park your bike and take a magical walk through fossilised ravines and ancient forest. Then on to the famous Vintgar Gorge, where wooden walkways cling to the cliffside above rushing water, ending at the thundering Šum Waterfall. Round off the ride with a peaceful lunch by St. Catherine’s Church overlooking the lake.
Day 6 - Bohinj Descent
51km total distance
After a transfer to the Pokljuka Plateau, it’s time for an epic descent into the stunning Bohinj Valley. Ride through alpine villages, marvel at traditional hayracks, and reach the serene shores of Lake Bohinj. A peaceful electric boat trip awaits before riding a spectacular riverside cycleway back to Bled.

38km total distance
Roll through the peaceful Radovna Valley, with towering plateaus on either side. Pause beneath the shadow of Mount Triglav for lunch, then continue through forests sprinkled with WWII monuments and storybook farmhouses. Don’t miss the traditional farmhouse museum – even Prince Charles stopped by.

What our Cyclists Say
Awesome customer Service like it used to be. When planning my husband's 50th birthday and knowing very little about cycling I decided to try Love Velo and I can't recommend them, and the service I've received from James Danvers highly enough.

I booked through Love Velo because the reviews were so good. I wasn't disappointed. Right from my first contact with LV they were easy to talk to and although I dithered (my first cycling trip abroad) they didn't press me. When I eventually confirmed my booking they took care of everything.

Everything about Love Velo has been faultless. From the initial notification of them teaming up with Le Col and to the pricing being unbelievable and then the customer service, top class. James, if all the staff are as attentive to every detail as you are then everyone will be as lucky as I have been. 100% at some point, hopefully in the near future I will be booking again with you guys. Thank you again
