Cycling in Mallorca
Why I Love Mallorca
Ride out to Cap Formentor. Big views, bigger smiles. The perfect introduction to Mallorca.
Climb, coffee, conquer. Puig Major and Coll dels Reis await. You just can’t beat riding a bike in Majorca.
Chill out by the pool or the beach and maximise your rest days.
This is a trip based in a single location

I like to stay at the Zafiro Palace in Alcudia, perfect for cyclists in Mallorca.
My preference for training is a carbon road bike with Di2 set up and Love Velo provide top of the range bikes in Mallorca.
Fly to Palma de Mallorca and you can get a speedy transfer to Alcudia.
You will receive a curated set of digital routes for you to download to a GPS enabled device.
Arrive & Depart At Any Time
My Recommended Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival & Cap Formentor
56km total distance
Arrive into Palma airport and Love Velo will arrange a private airport transfer to the hotel. Check in, relax and enjoy the views over Pollensa bay. You can get your bike today and if you haev time, ride out to Cap Formentor.
You’ll follow coastal roads with the glittering water on one side and the Tramuntana peaks in front of you. The ride to Cap Formentor lighthouse takes you through limestone rocks, tunnels and fresh pine forest. At the lighthouse you’re rewarded with sweeping panoramas from the northern tip of Mallorca. The ride itself is not too long so you can couple this up with some beautiful flatland riding towards Sa Pobla or Santa Margalida.
Distance: 56km
Ascent: 1,150mDay 2 - Sa Calobra & The Mountains
110km total distance
Today I recommend heading into the mountains to ride Sa Calobra or if you fancy a longer ride, summiting Puig Major. Sa Calobra is one of Mallorca’s most iconic and challenging routes on the island. You'll need to drop down to the port before riding back up and my top tip is to ride as early as you can, especially if it's high season.
Distance: 110km
Ascent: 1,880mDay 3 - Coll de Femenia
50km total distance
The Coll de Femenia is such a gem! Not too long, but enough to get the heart pumping and soak in those Mallorca views. It's around 7.5 km at an average gradient of 6% but is super scenic with rocky landscapes and winding roads.
I like riding that and then chilling out for the rest of the day by the pool or the beach.
Distance: 50km
Ascent: 680mDay 4 - Departure
I think 4 nights is a great amount of time in Mallorca so today is check out day for your return airport transfer, or you can lengthen your stay for more adventure.
