Cycling Holidays in Mallorca

What to Expect on This Trip

  1. Europe's Cycling Capital. Mallorca is a world class cycling destination, known world-wide and home to some legendary riding.
  2. Sa Calobra. The famous snaking climb, with the recognisable tie-knot road is an absolute must ride.
  3. Cap de Formentor. The best 40km ride in Europe in our opinion. Ride out to the lighthouse for a spectacular route.

Arrive & Depart At Any Time

A Typical Itinerary

  1. Day 1

Arrive into Palma and you will be picked up and taken to Port Pollensa in the north of the island. This is where the best cycling is but of course if you prefer to be anywhere else on the island, just let us know. We have a variety of hotels to choose from both in the port and around the island.

If you have time, take a short spin into the flatlands or along Pollensa bay to start your Mallorca cycling holiday.

Remember we can completely tailor your trip.

  2. Day 2

Today we recommend the iconic ride out to Cap Formentor lighthouse, at the tip of the island. Probably the most stunning ride you can do, you will traverse the winding road as it snakes through limestone jagged rocks. The rollercoaster takes you through quiet forest and out on to exposed sections of road with the cliffs plunging into the sea below. Enjoy a coffee at the lighthouse before making your way back and spending the rest of your day on or off the bike.

Take on the Cap Formentor lighthouse ride, arguably the most beautiful 40km ride on the island
  3. Day 3

Mallorca often feels like a cyclist's theme park and today, you can enjoy the legendary Sa Calobra. At 9.5km and averaging 7%, this is where British Cycling, Ineos and many other pro teams have honed their skills. The views from the road are breathtaking. Combine Sa Calobra with a ride of many other famous climbs such as Puig Major, the Coll de Soller, the Coll de Femenia and many more. We have the best digital routes taking in the best riding, for you to follow.

Try and ride Sa Calobra as early as possible, especially in high season
  4. Day 4

If you fancy a day out of the mountains, riding to Alcudia bay and out to the north east coast is a beautiful route. The ride is quite flat and you will have the sea on your left hand side as you ride all the way from Pollensa to Alcudia. Grab a coffee in Alcudia before exploring Mallorca's remote north east coast. Make your way out to the lookout at Cala Mesquida and then back through Arta and Sineu.

Today you will be taken back to Palma airport but remember, our trips are entirely tailor made and bespoke so this itinerary can be altered in any way you want.

What Our Cyclists Say

We had an excellent 6 days in Mallorca organised by LoveVelo. 1 night in Palma then 5 days brilliant gravel biking based in Inca. Everything was perfect: hotels, transfers, bikes and GPX routes. Highly recommend. Thank you Oli. We will be using LV again for sure.

I was in desperate need of a break, and Amanda was brilliant at considering my needs and offering suggestions that suited. The cycling was fantastic and the organisation by Love Velo was faultless allowing me to just turn up and ride.

Benjamin

Recently enjoyed a trip to Mallorca staying in Port de Pollenca, the hotel, cycle hire and airport transfers were all organised for us by Phil at what I feel was a very good and fair price. This was my first experience of this type of trip so used them on recommendation from a friend who had used them a few years back - I can also happily recommend, been home 2 days and already talking about booking a trip for next year so I will be contacting LoveVelo again soon. Great service - 5 stars well earned.
