Your Guided Week
Day 1
We will pick you up on arrival into Palma and take you to our hotel, by the beach in Playa de Muro. Settle in, enjoy a drink and tip your toes in the water whilst our mechanics will assemble your bike, or provide you with your hire bike for the week. We strongly recommend hiring as our fleet of bikes are brand new each year and of superb quality.
Day 2
100km total distance
Today, you will enjoy quiet flat roads as we loop all the way through Mallorca's rustic and traditional centre. We will stop for coffee in Sineu and enjoy the stunning almond and orange groves as we head towards Porreres and Llucmajor. You have the option today between riding 77km with 700m of climbing or riding 100km with 980m of climbing.
Day 3
117km total distance
Today is a great warm up as we skirt the edges of the Tramuntana and then head to Orient, via Bunyola. The climbing is mainly during the middle of the day as we enjoy the foothills of the Tramuntana before looping back north towards Orient. The hamlets that we pass are traditional and sleepy before we come out of the mountains and back north to the hotel. You have the option today between riding 93km with 732m of climbing or riding 117km with 2329m of climbing.
Day 4
134km total distance
Today is the day we enjoy one of the most well known climbs in Europe. The Sa Calobra climb is the road to the port and so if you descend it, you have to climb back up. The climb is 10km with an average gradient of 7% so whilst it's not a Pyrenean or Alpine monster, it is famous for more than how tough it is. The road snakes across the mountains with switchback after switchback offering unrivalled views and the road lops over itself to offer a magnificent spectacle. You have the option today between riding 117km with 2329m of climbing or riding 134km with 3295m of climbing.
Day 5
42km total distance
After an epic day on the bike yesterday, today is a more relaxing rest day. We will head towards farming communities and rustic landscapes as we ride into Sa Pobla, Muro and Santa Margalida. We will stop in Sa Pobla for a coffee. The whole group will ride together today and enjoy a relaxing 42km with 346m of climbing.
Day 6
105km total distance
Today is a chance to experience one of the greatest routes in Europe. The ride out to Cap Formentor and the lighthouse takes in breathtaking descents, pine forests, grazing goats and a stunning road all the way to the end of the island. Enjoy a coffee by the lighthouse and look over the sparkling Mediterranean, before riding back the same way as you came and home towards Playa de Muro. You have the option today between riding 65km with 1278m of climbing or riding 105km with 1820m of climbing.
Day 7
117km total distance
Today we will spend our time in the Tramuntana, a Unesco World Heritage Site. We will ride Sa Calobra again as well as ride throuhg other beautifully quiet areas of the mountain range. We will enjoy a coffee in the Coll de sa Bataia before heading towards Soller and Valdemossa. You will enjoy stunning sea views and ride through tree lined roads in the heart of the mountains. You have the option today between riding 70km with 1596m of climbing or riding 117km with 2339m of climbing.
Day 8
72km total distance
Depending on your flight time, you will have the chance to visit another side of the island, the Serra de Llevant and the Betlem Hermitage. The ride is 72km with 1,000m of climbing so you can simply choose whether to ride if you have the time, or we will take you straight back to the airport.
