Your Day by Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - Touch Down in Bled

Touch down in Slovenia and you’re straight into the good stuff. Lake Bled isn’t just picture-perfect – it’s storybook magic. A glacial lake crowned with a clifftop castle, and a tiny island church where you can ring the bell and make a wish (go on, you know you want to). Stretch your legs with a walk up to Mala Osojnica – trust us, the panoramic view over the lake and the Karavanke Mountains is worth every step.

  2. Day 2 - Bled to Bohinj Valley

    27km total distance

Today starts with a gentle warm-up as you roll through pine forests and alpine meadows from the Pokljuka plateau into the Bohinj Valley. Lake Bohinj is the star here – a glimmering mirror surrounded by the wild heart of Triglav National Park. Fancy a bit more? Cycle to Savica Waterfall or take the cable car up Vogel Mountain for jaw-dropping views across the Julian Alps.

  3. Day 3 - Bohinj to Škofja Loka

    49km total distance

Today, you’ll earn those views. The climb to the Jelovica plateau is a solid challenge – but there’s an optional lift if you’d rather save your legs (we won’t judge). After that, it’s smooth sailing through remote valleys and sleepy villages, all the way to Škofja Loka. One of Slovenia’s oldest towns, it’s packed with charm, cobbled streets, and a cracking castle at the top.

  4. Day 4 - Škofja Loka to Predoslje

    45km total distance

A more relaxed ride awaits today. Pedal across the Sora plain with the Kamnik-Savinja Alps providing an epic backdrop. When the sun’s out, take a dip in the crystal-clear lake at Preddvor – total bliss. End the day at the Brdo Estate, once the playground of royals and presidents, now your spot for a peaceful evening stroll before dinner.

  5. Day 5 - Predoslje to Radovljica

    46km total distance

Today’s a deep dive into Slovenia’s rich heritage. Stop in Kranj, the cultural heart of Carniola, then ride into the hidden gem of Kropa. This old ironworking town tells its story through a brilliant museum – you can even forge your own nail (seriously!). Continue through rolling countryside to Radovljica, where medieval streets and a quirky beekeeping museum round out the day.

  6. Day 6 - Radovljica to Kranjska Gora

    50km total distance

Saddle up for a route rich in scenery and stories. First stop: Begunje, where a WWII museum pays tribute to Slovenia’s wartime resilience. It’s also the hometown of polka legend Slavko Avsenik. From here, ride through valleys between the Julian Alps and the Karawanke range to Kranjska Gora. Got energy left? Spin up to the famous Planica ski jumps – this place redefines the word “airtime”.

  7. Day 7 - Kranjska Gora to Bled

    40km total distance

We’re heading back to where it all began, but not without a few more unforgettable highlights. Follow the Sava Dolinka river, dive into the history of Krma Valley, and have lunch at a cosy mountain hut nestled beneath mighty Triglav. Before you reach Bled, detour to Vintgar Gorge – a 1.6 km natural wonder that’s straight out of a fantasy novel.

  8. Day 8 - Departure

After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to Slovenia. LOIRE VALLEY AND CHATEAU TOUR.png

What our Cyclists Say

Awesome customer Service like it used to be. When planning my husband's 50th birthday and knowing very little about cycling I decided to try Love Velo and I can't recommend them, and the service I've received from James Danvers highly enough.

I booked through Love Velo because the reviews were so good. I wasn't disappointed. Right from my first contact with LV they were easy to talk to and although I dithered (my first cycling trip abroad) they didn't press me. When I eventually confirmed my booking they took care of everything.

Everything about Love Velo has been faultless. From the initial notification of them teaming up with Le Col and to the pricing being unbelievable and then the customer service, top class. James, if all the staff are as attentive to every detail as you are then everyone will be as lucky as I have been. 100% at some point, hopefully in the near future I will be booking again with you guys. Thank you again
