Your Prague to Vienna Guided Adventure
Your Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 - Prague
Arrive in Prague and head out onto the cobbled streets where you're likely to find a beer hall around the corner. Optional activities such as visiting the Kafka Museum or going on an Urban Adventure beer and tapas tour can be booked.
Included:Hotel
Day 2 - Prague
30km total distance
After a guided tour of Prague in the morning, take the train (or vehicle, depending on group size) to the historic capital city of South Bohemia, Ceske Budejovice. You'll have a bike fitting upon arrival, which will set you on your way for a short cycle in and around the city along with your journey to Vienna. As Ceske Budejovice is the home of Budweiser, it'd be rude not to take the option of a brewery tour to learn all about the beer's history and have a pint at the onsite bar.
Included:Hotel
Bed & Breakfast
Guided Cycling Around Prague
Day 3 - Cesky Krumlov
35km total distance
Wake up bright and early, refreshed for your first day en route to Vienna. Pedal into the picturesque rolling hills of the South Bohemian countryside and forests as you make your way to Cesky Krumlov. The medieval town has much to explore, which you can do at your leisure in the afternoon. Wander the hidden alleyways, or hike up to the state castle at Krizova Hora. Or, if you aren't in need of a rest from today's cycling, book a canoe trip along the river.
Included:Hotel
Bed & Breakfast
Fully Supported Guided Riding
Day 4 - Kollmitzberg
42km total distance
Today you'll cycle alongside the Vlata River on your way to stunning Lipno Lake. The large lake near the Czech-Austrian border will provide the perfect place to stop and relax by its southern shore near the town of Lipno nad Vitavou. Then, a transfer by car will take you back to the Danube, this time in Ardagger. Take a break from cycling in this sleepy town, and make sure to try out the local Austrian cuisine for dinner!
Included:Hotel
Bed & Breakfast
Fully Supported Guided Riding
Day 5 - Melk
53km total distance
Ride flat, traffic free cycle paths alongside the Danube River and admire the vast sparkling waters and surrounding countryside. Your next destination is the beautifully built town of Melk, which you'll spot from afar due Melk Abbey's high towers and domes. We'd definitely recommend visiting Melk Abbey, a grand monastery sitting above the Danube River. Old Town Melk is also well worth a wander, where you can explore its colourful squares and side streets.
Included:Hotel
Bed & Breakfast
Fully Supported Guided Riding
Day 6 - Herzogenburg
43km total distance
Back in the saddle, you'll meet the Danube's river banks and traffic free cycle paths once again. There are a couple short steep hills on this route, however the views from the top of the climbs are worth the effort! Pass quaint villages, a few sandy beaches and the UNESCO listed Wachau vineyards, famous for its wine dating back to the Middle Ages. Embrace the descent as you make your way into Krems an der Donau, your stop for tonight.
Included:Hotel
Bed & Breakfast
Fully Supported Guided Riding
Day 7 - Vienna
40km total distance
Your final day on the bike travels on the Danube's picturesque cycle paths to Austria's capital city, the charming Vienna. Before hitting the saddle, you'll be transferred to the start point in Tulln. Famous for it's passion for the arts, culture and food, Vienna is a fascinating city to discover by foot. Make sure to try the local cuisine, such as an apple strudel, sacher torte, schnitzel and goulash. There will also be an orientation tour of Vienna, which will further immerse you into learning about Vienna's history and culture.

What our Cyclists Say
Awesome customer Service like it used to be. When planning my husband's 50th birthday and knowing very little about cycling I decided to try Love Velo and I can't recommend them, and the service I've received from James Danvers highly enough.

I booked through Love Velo because the reviews were so good. I wasn't disappointed. Right from my first contact with LV they were easy to talk to and although I dithered (my first cycling trip abroad) they didn't press me. When I eventually confirmed my booking they took care of everything.

Everything about Love Velo has been faultless. From the initial notification of them teaming up with Le Col and to the pricing being unbelievable and then the customer service, top class. James, if all the staff are as attentive to every detail as you are then everyone will be as lucky as I have been. 100% at some point, hopefully in the near future I will be booking again with you guys. Thank you again
