Arrive & Depart At Any Time

Your Day by Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - Arrive in Alghero

Your Sardinian cycling adventure begins in Alghero. Whether you arrive independently or opt for a private transfer, settle into this charming coastal town where cobbled streets, Catalan vibes and sea views set the tone for the week ahead.

  2. Day 2 – Alghero to Mores

    81km total distance

You’re off! And what a way to begin. Ride one of Sardinia’s most spectacular coastal roads before heading inland with a proper warm-up climb – the infamous “wall” up to Villanova Monteleone. You’ll be rewarded with a thrilling descent towards Lake Temo, followed by a classic Italian mangia e bevi – that undulating, leg-teasing terrain that keeps you honest – all the way to Mores.

    Today's ride is 81km/1,270m

  3. Day 3 – Mores to Pattada

    79km total distance

Today’s ride takes you deep into Sardinia’s rugged heart. You’ll weave through the Goceano mountain range, a wild and wonderful mix of forest, vineyard and remote hill country. Climb towards the historic Foresta Burgos, a forest established by royal decree no less, before descending into Pattada – home of the legendary Pattadesa knife, handmade with incredible craftsmanship and tradition.

    Today's ride is 79km/1,516m

  4. Day 4 – Pattada to Posada

    86km total distance

From ancient forests to ancient civilisations – today you’ll pass Su Romanzesu, a Nuragic site tucked in among cork oaks and granite. Then it’s a long, glorious descent back to the sea via Siniscola, where turquoise waters call your name. Your day ends in Posada, a picture-perfect medieval village perched on a hill and crowned by the Castello della Fava.

    Today's ride is 86km/1,230m

  5. Day 5 – Posada to Olbia

    55km total distance

It’s a shorter ride today – but no less beautiful. Hug the coastline past Capo Coda Cavallo and the breathtaking island of Tavolara, which rises out of the sea like a mythical beast. Fancy more of a challenge? There’s an inland option to test your legs. Either way, you finish in the vibrant port town of Olbia, where cold Vermentino and a buzzing high street await.

    Today's ride is 55km/300m

  6. Day 6 – Olbia to Castelsardo

    103km total distance

Time to leave the coast behind and dive back into the island’s wild core. Ride past granite outcrops, ancient cork forests and into the heart of Sardinia’s cork-producing region. You’ll pass the atmospheric “Valley of the Moon” where rock formations feel like something from another planet. End the day in Castelsardo, a colourful clifftop town with sea views you’ll never forget.

    Today's ride is 103km/1,400m

  7. Day 7 – Castelsardo to Alghero

    97km total distance

Your final day in the saddle is a rolling ride through the hills of Anglona, with epic views all the way to Corsica. Tackle the thrilling descent of Scala di Giocca before cruising back into Alghero. There’s no better place to celebrate your journey – medieval streets, seaside sunsets, and that unbeatable feeling of accomplishment.

    Today's ride is 97km/1,340m

  8. Day 8 - Departure

After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye – for now. But you’re not leaving empty-handed. You’ve got seven unforgettable days in your legs, a camera full of memories, and a head buzzing with stories to tell.LOIRE VALLEY AND CHATEAU TOUR.png

What our Cyclists Say

Awesome customer Service like it used to be. When planning my husband's 50th birthday and knowing very little about cycling I decided to try Love Velo and I can't recommend them, and the service I've received from James Danvers highly enough.

I booked through Love Velo because the reviews were so good. I wasn't disappointed. Right from my first contact with LV they were easy to talk to and although I dithered (my first cycling trip abroad) they didn't press me. When I eventually confirmed my booking they took care of everything.

Everything about Love Velo has been faultless. From the initial notification of them teaming up with Le Col and to the pricing being unbelievable and then the customer service, top class. James, if all the staff are as attentive to every detail as you are then everyone will be as lucky as I have been. 100% at some point, hopefully in the near future I will be booking again with you guys. Thank you again
