The route also follows sections of the former Roma–Fiuggi railway, now transformed into a beautiful panoramic cycle path that makes for wonderfully relaxed riding.

Ride through beautiful countryside to Anagni, known as the City of Popes, before continuing to Ferentino, where impressive Roman monuments offer a glimpse into the region’s ancient past. It’s a day that combines gentle riding with plenty of opportunities to immerse yourself in local culture and history.

Starting at the magnificent Trisulti Charterhouse, nestled beneath the Ernici Mountains, today’s route follows sections of the Via Benedicti through a landscape rich in history and natural beauty. Quiet roads connect the medieval villages of Collepardo and Fumone before leading you through the Lake Canterno Nature Reserve and back towards Fiuggi. Expect stunning scenery and a wonderfully varied day in the saddle.

ride further into the mountains today as you follow another spectacular section of the Via Benedicti towards Subiaco. Here you'll visit the remarkable Sacro Speco, built around the cave where Saint Benedict lived as a hermit over a thousand years ago. The journey continues to the Abbey of Santa Scolastica before following the Aniene Valley, whose waters once supplied Ancient Rome. It’s a day packed with history, culture and memorable riding.

After a transfer to the coast, today offers a completely different riding experience. Starting in Sabaudia, you'll cycle alongside golden sand dunes and the sparkling Tyrrhenian Sea, with views stretching across one of Italy’s most beautiful coastlines. The route leads to Monte Circeo and the historic town of San Felice Circeo, both steeped in mythology and featured in Homer’s Odyssey. To round off the day, enjoy a well-earned seafood lunch overlooking the sea.
