Your Tenerife Supported Training Camp Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival into Tenerife
Upon arrival in Tenerife South airport, you will be picked up and taken to the hotel.
Day 2 - Vilaflor
Your week kicks off with the perfect shakeout ride – a warm-up to the stunning mountain village of Vilaflor. Sitting at 1,400 metres above sea level, it’s a proper leg-tester designed to make sure you (and your bike!) are primed and ready for the adventures ahead. The climb sets the tone beautifully – steady, scenic, and oh-so-satisfying. And of course, there’s time for a well-earned coffee stop in the village, surrounded by mountain views and that crisp, high-altitude air. Welcome to riding in Tenerife – it’s going to be a good one.
Choose from one the daily distances:
Long: 75km – 1,500m
Medium: 60km – 1,400m
Short: 55km – 1,000mDay 3 - Teide West
Today, it’s all about your first big ascent – the legendary climb up Mount Teide from the island’s wild western edge. This one’s a steady grind, with a consistent gradient of 5–6% and silky-smooth tarmac that makes every pedal stroke feel just right. As you rise, the landscape transforms around you – think stark volcanic rock, surreal lava fields and sweeping views that stretch out to the horizon. It’s more than just a climb; it’s a full sensory experience and a proper introduction to what Tenerife’s all about.
Choose from one the daily distances:
Long: 110km – 2,600m
Medium: 90km – 2,200m
Short: 75km – 1,500mDay 4 - Tempus Bodega
After yesterday’s big climb, it’s time to dial things back and savour a slower pace. You’ll spin out to the eastern side of the island for one of our favourite routes – a relaxed ride to Tempus Bodega. This isn’t just about the cycling (though the views are still cracking); it’s about soaking up the local culture. At the bodega, you’ll tuck into a traditional Canarian lunch and enjoy a wine tasting that showcases the unique flavours of the island. Great food, great company, and just the right amount of riding – it’s a day to remember.
Choose from one the daily distances:
Long: 75km – 1,600m
Medium: 62km – 1,100m
Short: 50m – 900mDay 5 - Teide South
It’s time to take on Teide once again – this time from the south. You’ll climb through Vilaflor, revisiting the charming mountain village from Day 1, but this time you’ll push further, all the way up to the lunar landscapes of El Teide. This is one of the toughest rides of the week, a proper test of legs and mindset, but it’s also one of the most rewarding. At the summit, you’ll pause for a coffee with views that make every metre worth it. Then it’s time to enjoy the long descent back the way you came, with gravity doing the work and the day’s effort etched into your grin.
Choose from one the daily distances:
Long: 135km – 3,000m
Medium: 105km – 2,400m
Short: 75km – 1,500mDay 6 - Chio
Today’s ride is a Love Velo classic – a thrilling journey through the dramatic northwest of Tenerife. You’ll roll over Chio before tackling the legendary switchbacks that snake their way down to the picturesque village of Masca – a descent that’s as technical as it is breathtaking. From there, it’s on to the coastal charm of Garachico, where the final challenge awaits: the stunning and serene Las Cruces climb. Quiet roads, lush views, and that unbeatable feeling of conquering something special. And just when you think the day can’t get any better, we’ll whisk you away to Mama Delgado for our famous Paella Party – the perfect way to celebrate the ride.
Choose from one the daily distances:
Long: 135km – 3,000m
Medium: 105km – 2,400m
Short: 75km – 1,500mDay 7 - North East
Your final ride takes you deep into Tenerife’s untamed northeast – a region bursting with raw beauty and wild charm. You’ll climb the winding Bailadero ascent into the heart of the Anaga Natural Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve where rugged peaks and misty ravines are cloaked in lush laurel forests. It’s a ride through storybook scenery, dotted with sleepy hamlets and panoramic views stretching all the way to the towering silhouette of Mount Teide. After descending into the historic city of La Laguna – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – you’ll pause for a relaxed lunch before riding the final stretch into Santa Cruz, Tenerife’s vibrant capital. A fitting finale to an unforgettable week.
Choose from one the daily distances:
Long: 70km – 1,900m
Medium: 65km – 1,400m
Short: 45km – 1,000mDay 8 - Departure
Today you will be taken back to the airport for your return flight home from your cycling holiday in Tenerife.

What our Cyclists Say
Awesome customer Service like it used to be. When planning my husband's 50th birthday and knowing very little about cycling I decided to try Love Velo and I can't recommend them, and the service I've received from James Danvers highly enough.

I booked through Love Velo because the reviews were so good. I wasn't disappointed. Right from my first contact with LV they were easy to talk to and although I dithered (my first cycling trip abroad) they didn't press me. When I eventually confirmed my booking they took care of everything.

Everything about Love Velo has been faultless. From the initial notification of them teaming up with Le Col and to the pricing being unbelievable and then the customer service, top class. James, if all the staff are as attentive to every detail as you are then everyone will be as lucky as I have been. 100% at some point, hopefully in the near future I will be booking again with you guys. Thank you again
