Upon arrival into Paphos airport you will be picked up and taken to our 4* beachfront hotel in Paphos. Enjoy a welcome drink, check in and relax.
Today is a great day to acclimatise to cycling in Cyprus. You will head out towards Coral Bay along a long stretch of coastline with views over the Mediterranean. From here, you will start your ascent to Kathikas topping out at just over 600m. From here, you will ride down to Evretou Dam before circling back, and making your way back up to Kathikas from the west, and back to Paphos.
Today’s ride sees you ride inland and you will start a gentle climb for about 40km. The road kicks up after this and you will climb another 800m over the next 30km. You’ll reach Pano Platres before a really fast descent back towards the coast and then back to Paphos.
This is a big day in the saddle but it’s full of incredible scenery as you ride into Paphos forest. It’s a stunning route climbing to a height of 950 meters over 73km into the forest. You will be in the heart of the Troodos Mountains and experience fresh pine and cedar scents as you ride through it. You” ride through vineyards and one of the oldest villages in Cyprus. There are various short descents and punchy climbs providing you with a huge 3,000m of climbing during the day.
Today you will be taken back to the airport for your return flight home from your cycling holiday in Cyprus. We have a 7 day camp if you would like to extend your stay or if you fancy a few days on the beach post ride, just ask us.
