Arrive into Faro airport and we will be waiting got take you to the 5* Vidamar Resort Hotel Algarve in Albufeira.
Get your bike and we will take you on a short warm up before a longer ride in the afternoon through the Barrocal area of the Algarve.
Your ride will take you from Salgados to Malhão, a ride that will take about 2 and a half hours and is not too taxing. We will ride to the Alto do Malhão and watch the GC contenders compete on the summit finish.
This will be a big day as you take on the Granfondo Algarve! You will start the day early and the sportive begins in Lagoa. Choose to ride any of the 3 distances, 50km, 86k or the full Granfondo which is 132k. Each route summits Foia, a tough 15km climb. At midday, the pros will race the last stage of the Volta ao Algarve, an individual time trial in Lagoa which we will go and watch.
After breakfast, you will check out and we will take you back to Faro airport, or if you prefer, you can extend your stay with us and join our 7 day trip.
Enjoy following the pros as they ride the Volta ao Algarve, and experience some of the roads they will be riding, by testing yourself on the Algarve Granfondo. The Algarve is the perfect early Spring destination as the weather is great, and you can enjoy an early season warm sportive.
