Lake Garda: Europe’s most beautiful bike ride

As one of the fastest growing cycling destinations in Europe, there was no way that we weren’t going to set up the best holiday packages in Lake Garda. With this in mind, it was time for another member of the Love Velo team to jump on a plane and find out what all the fuss was about. He returned – tanned and full of stories – with 4 new exciting Italian packages in place and with news that we would be the first cycling operator to provide E-Road Bikes in Italy. I think we’ll call that a successful trip!

Located in north east Italy, Lake Garda is the largest of Italy’s freshwater lakes. The popular tourist spot has developed into a hub of activity, culture and adventure and now attracts 7% of all tourists travelling to Italy. Phenomenal mountains merge into the pristine lake, creating a picture of pure relaxation and tranquillity. It’s no surprise then that the area has been labelled as ‘Europe’s most beautiful bike ride’.

With expectations now understandably high, we wanted to ensure that our holidays were tailored to provide riders and non riders with the best, all-round experience of Lake Garda.
