Arrive & Depart At Any Time
A Typical Itinerary
Day 1
If you're travelling as a group, arrive into Marseille airport and we will transfer you to Bedoin. If you're on your own or a couple, it's best to get the Eurostar to Paris and then the TGV to Avignon as your transfer will be more cost effective.
Day 2
Your trip is totally flexible so you can choose when and where you want to ride. We recommend riding Gorges de la Nesque to get a little bit of climbing in, as well as wonderful scenes, or discover the Val de Sault. Spend some time on the plains and explore the lavender fields, olive groves and vineyards.
Day 3
The ascent of Ventoux from Bedoin is the classic route. 21,5km at 1912m of climbing, this is how you will conquer the legend.
The climb is split into 3 sections with the first, a gentle gradient of around 4.5%, getting the legs warmed up as you arrive at Saint-Esteve. You will then enter the forest with no air. Lined with trees, the outlook is straight up, at an average of an unrelenting 10%, until you reach Chalet Reynard. From there, it is out of the forest and onto the barren lunar landscape. Perched boldly atop the Provencal countryside, this is the area known for buffeting winds but will you be lucky and get a good tail wind, or will you be fighting the elements to the top? The Tom Simpson memorial is just 1.5km from the top and with a final switchback to the right, you will reach the top and will have joined the greats of cycling and be able to say, I conquered Ventoux.
Day 4
Check out from your hotel and we will transfer you back to Avignon train station or Marseille airport.

What Our Cyclists Say
My first experience of solo travel and one that ran seamlessly! I went to France to stay in Bédoin to climb Mont Ventoux. I used the routes from Love Velo to climb Mont Ventoux from Bédoin and then also to combine the Gorge de la Nesque and the climb up Ventoux again from Sault, and down into Malaucène. I loved every single minute of my trip and will definitely be using the company again. I could not recommend them highly enough!

Booked cycling trip to Mont Ventoux this month. Experience was fantastic. We dealt with Tom and would highly recommend anyone interested in this trip to contact these guys. We booked flights to Marseille Airport and Tom organised collection from airport straight to accommodation, which is located just outside Bédoin on route to Mont Ventoux. Accommodation was perfect, such a relaxing environment and incredible view of mountain. Breakfast was lovely and fresh. We collected our bikes in France cycling Shop located in Bédoin. We cycled approx 100km first day around the beautiful countryside off any of the main roads and on day 2 did the Mont Ventoux cycle which is very challenging but unbelievable experience. We then were collected at hotel and brought back to Airport the following day. Overall fantastic experience…

A fantastic 3 day trip with the middle day being the club des Cingles climbing of Mont Ventoux. Everything went like clockwork. Transfers from the station, bike hire and the hotel booking. The staff at the transfer company, hotel and the bike hire shop were friendly and helpful. Cannot recommend Love Velo highly enough.
