Arrive & Depart At Any Time
Your Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival into Amsterdam
We recommend getting to Amsterdam early (or even a couple of nights before) to discover this wonderful city. Enjoy the famous squares of Dam or Rembrandtplein or spend some time on a canal boat and explore the city by water.
Day 2 - Amsterdam to Haarlem
30km total distance
Spend the morning exploring the city or visiting the Van Gogh or Anne Frank museum before starting your ride through Kennermerland. Your ride today takes you across vast polders, through woods and country estates before arrival in Haarlem. If you travel in April or early May, you can extend your ride to 60km to visit the famous surrounding tulip fields.
Day 3 - Haarlem to Leiden
40km total distance
We recommend exploring Haarlem in the morning. The city is famous for its hofje, tiny houses facing a quiet, idyllic courtyard and these are well worth visiting.
In the afternoon, enjoy a colourful trip through the Dune and Bulb region. Like the day before, if you arrive in April or early May, you will be rewarded with vibrant colours as the bulb fields bloom in all their splendour. Tulips, daffodils and hyacinths all grow across this landscape.
Your day finishes in Leiden where you can explore this wonderful old university town's cafes, monuments, windmills and museums.
Day 4 - Leiden to Delft
25km total distance
Today offers a ride through typically Dutch scenery. You will cross yet more polders, pass by old windmills and farmhouses as you pedal towards Delft.
Delft is most famous for the blue and white hand painted pottery called Delftware. Visit small authentic shops still creating these pieces and enjoy a pancake in one of its many cafes.
Day 5 - Delft to Gouda
50km total distance
Day 6 - Gouda to Amsterdam
78km total distance
Then its time to get back on your bike for the longest leg of your bike tour. Your day will be spent riding down the Amstel river and through the Green Heart. Stop for some apple tart en route and explore the beauty of this region.
Day 7 - Departure
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before departing for your homeward travel.

What Our Cyclists Say
Wonderful tour of Holland beginning at Amsterdam - Haarlem, Leiden, Delft, Gouda and back to A. Six great days of using the many cycle paths through countryside and town, meeting helpful people (who all seemed to speak English) and seeing a variety of wild life and fields of flowers. Smooth transition from hotel to hotel: no problem with logistics. The canals were amazing. There were two couples, one of whom had an electrically assisted bike and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. Highly recommended.

Our cycling holiday to Holland was organised superbly by Love Velo: the hotels were good: good food, nice & clean, nice rooms, excellent staff; the bikes were very good - easy to operate, looked quite new; the selected routes were really good - just far enough each day especially with kids. Undoubtedly the highlight was a day at Keukenhof Gardens which were absolutely stunning. Overall a wonderful trip and the weather was even kind to us.

The bikes, route maps and information packs were all first class and made navigating from place to place extremely easy. All the hotels were great and in great locations and hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this trip to others,
