Day 1 - Arrival into Matera
Touch down in Matera and settle into your home for the night. After a quick briefing and bike setup, take your first spin around one of Italy’s most extraordinary cities. We recommend a guided tour through the ancient Sassi districts and the incredible Park of Rupestrian Churches – both proudly listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Come evening, dine in a restaurant carved straight out of rock and soak up the atmosphere of this mesmerising city.
Day 2 - Matera to Alberobello

Your first day on the bike takes you into the rolling countryside of Puglia. Ride past Gioia del Colle and Noci before reaching Alberobello, home of the fairytale trulli houses. You’ll spend the night in one of these iconic stone dwellings or a beautifully restored farmhouse.

Day 3 - Alberobello to Ostuni

Today you’ll cruise through the Itria Valley, one of southern Italy’s most charming landscapes. Stop off in Locorotondo and Cisternino for a coffee or gelato before reaching Ostuni. Known as the White City, Ostuni dazzles with its bright architecture and hilltop views.

Day 4 - Ostuni to a Masseria near Oria
55km total distance
Leave the gleaming white walls of Ostuni behind as you head south through quiet lanes and rural countryside. Pass through Francavilla Fontana and ride into the historic town of Oria, famed for its medieval castle. Tonight’s stay is in a traditional masseria, a rustic Apulian farmhouse with heaps of character.

Day 5 - Oria to Gallipoli
60km total distance
The route winds through lush landscapes and down to the Ionian Sea. Ride past Porto Selvaggio and follow the coast to Gallipoli, a seaside gem whose name literally means “beautiful city.” Pack a picnic, kick off your shoes, and enjoy a swim if the weather’s on your side.

Day 6 - Gallipoli to Otranto
71km total distance
Get ready for a wild coastal ride along the eastern edge of Italy. This stretch leads you into Otranto, a town full of history and charm. Marvel at the ancient castle walls and the mesmerising mosaic floor in the Romanesque cathedral.

Day 7 - Otranto to Lecce
45km total distance
Your final ride takes you inland to Lecce, the Baroque beauty of the south. With its ornate churches and buzzing streets, Lecce is the perfect place to celebrate the end of your journey. Try a warm puccia sandwich or a sweet pasticciotto before strolling through the piazzas.

Day 8 - Departure
