Your Pyrenees Gravel Tour Adventure

Your Day by Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - Welcome to the Pyrenees

Your journey begins in the heart of the Pyrenean mountains, where you'll meet your group at our spectacular base camp perched high above the Argelès-Gazost valley. We’ll collect you from Lourdes train station at 6:30 PM and whisk you straight into a world of panoramic peaks, wide open skies and total tranquillity.

As the sun dips behind the mountains, you’ll gather around a big, friendly table for your first shared meal. It’s the perfect way to settle in, meet your fellow riders, and soak up the spirit of the Pyrenees. The adventure starts here.

  2. Day 2 - Conquering Hautacam

    68km total distance

After breakfast with a view, you’ll drop down into the valley and roll through Argelès before the terrain kicks up. The climb? It’s steep. But the reward? Gravel tracks with eye-widening views across the mountain range. This is five-star gravel riding – wild, remote, and unforgettable.

Midway through, you’ll pause for a picnic right in the heart of nature, fuelling up for the final push. Then, for those in the know, there’s a secret river spot waiting – perfect for dipping your legs and cooling down.

The day ends with a well-earned feast at a local inn just down the road from camp.

    Today's elevation is 1,880m.

  3. Day 3 - Peaks, Passes & Pine Forests

    71km total distance

Today’s challenge is a punchy 70 km loop packing a serious 2,000 m of climbing deep in the wild heart of the Pyrenees. Think forest tracks, shaded switchbacks, and big, breath-stealing views that remind you exactly why you love riding bikes.

The morning’s showstopper is the gravel climb to Pic de Cabaliros. It’s tough, it’s beautiful, and it rewards every pedal stroke with sweeping panoramas of rugged peaks and iconic mountain passes. This is one of those climbs where the effort fades, but the memories stick.

In the afternoon, we tick off a true Pyrenean legend with the Col du Soulor, before drifting onto quiet pastoral paths through the Bergons forest and over the Col de Couraduque. From here, it’s a joyful descent back to the lodge, smiles wide and legs nicely toasted. A gentle yoga session helps us unwind and recover after our first big mountain day.

    Today's elevation is 2,100m.

  4. Day 4 – One Last Spin

    30km total distance

Your final ride is a relaxed affair, but still full of wow-factor. You’ll explore the gravel tracks of the Bergons Massif that wrap around base camp, climbing gently to the Col de Couraduque. The coffee up there tastes even better with those views.

A flowing gravel descent leads you past tiny mountain hamlets and onto the road of the iconic Col de Spandelles – one last nod to the legends of cycling.

You’ll roll back into camp just in time for a final lunch with your new cycling crew, before we take you back to Lourdes station at 5 PM.

    Today's elevation is 920m.

What our Cyclists Say

Awesome customer Service like it used to be. When planning my husband's 50th birthday and knowing very little about cycling I decided to try Love Velo and I can't recommend them, and the service I've received from James Danvers highly enough.

I booked through Love Velo because the reviews were so good. I wasn't disappointed. Right from my first contact with LV they were easy to talk to and although I dithered (my first cycling trip abroad) they didn't press me. When I eventually confirmed my booking they took care of everything.

Everything about Love Velo has been faultless. From the initial notification of them teaming up with Le Col and to the pricing being unbelievable and then the customer service, top class. James, if all the staff are as attentive to every detail as you are then everyone will be as lucky as I have been. 100% at some point, hopefully in the near future I will be booking again with you guys. Thank you again
