What Are the Dates of Your Mallorca Bike Trips?

All of our self guided bike tours in Mallorca are entirely tailor made. You can choose what day you want to travel and what riding you want to do. We are also able to arrange daily guided riding subject to availability.

How fit do I need to be?

This depends on the riding you want to do. If you want to spend days in the mountains, you need to be fit and you can enjoy almost unending climbing and descending. However as most of our trips are self guided you're under no pressure to ride a particular distance or pace. Equally, you can enjoy completely flat riding along the bays and through the flatlands. Mallorca is just perfect no matter what type of riding you want to enjoy.

Are your cycling tours in Mallorca guided?

Most of our cycling holidays in France are self-guided, giving you the freedom to explore at your leisure. Armed with our detailed route packs, you can effortlessly navigate the stunning landscapes, pausing whenever and wherever you desire.

When is the best time to go cycling in Mallorca?

For most areas, Mallorca enjoys good weather ideal for cycling adventures, from March to October. The peak summer months of July & August can be busy in towns and hot, but you can still enjoy some brilliant riding at that time and if you avoid the midday sun. Our favourite time is April to late June and September to October.

Where is good to cycle in Mallorca?

Port Pollensa is a perfect place to stay and is the home of Mallorca cycling. If you'd rather stay in the mountains, we'd recommend Port Soller and if you need to be closer to Palma, stay west side to hit the mountains and east side for the flatlands.

What to Expect on This Trip

If you're looking for some easy cycling under blue Mediterranean skies, look no further than Mallorca. Beautiful stone wall lined roads meander their way through orange groves, almond orchards and pine woods. You can visit secluded beaches, explore tiny Mallorcan villages serving extraordinary tapas and discover small authentic towns as you cross the plains from coast to coast.

Your Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival
Arrive into Palma airport and we will pick you up and take you to your hotel in Llucmajor.

The trip is entirely flexible so you can choose between staying in a 5* resort or a number of traditional fincas and boutique hotels.
Day 2 - Loop ride from Llucmajor
40km total distance
Today is a day to acclimatise to the stunning surroundings of traditional rural Mallorca. Choose from either a ride down to the white sands of Es Trenc beach, one of Mallorca's most well protected beaches, or circle Llucmajor's orange groves, pine woods and blossom trees. Your ride will be quite flat and pass through country lanes on very quiet roads with very little traffic. There is also the option of the stunning Coll de Randa if you want a challenge. Visit the 13th century Santuari de Cura at the top and look out across the whole of the Tramuntana mountain range from Andratx to Formentor.
Day 3 - Llucmajor to Sineu
30km total distance
Your luggage will be collected this morning before you make your way north, heading right through Mallorca's quiet plains. You will pass traditional red fincas and barns with classic windmills dotting the landscape and cycle on quiet country lanes. Your ride will take you through Porreres and Sant Joan before your overnight stay in Sineu.

Sineu is an old Roman town and the Plaza Des Fossar square is a great place to stop for lunch or morning coffee. If you happen to arrive on a Wednesday morning, it also has a lively market.
Day 4 - Sineu to Campanet
25km total distance
Today is one of our favourite flat rides in Mallorca. Your ride will head east and the Tramuntana mountain range will soon come into view. Your ride will take you all the way to the foothills of the mountains at Campanet.

Spend some time exploring the Campanet caves next to your hotel. The caves were discovered in 1945 and are a labyrinth of stalactites and stalagmites and you can descend to close to 1000m.

Your stay will be at a wonderful boutique hotel set within 150 hectares of farmland. The hotel has a spa and swimming pool as well as a terrace with panoramic views, perfect to enjoy an early evening glass of wine.
Day 5 - Campanet to Port Pollensa
30km total distance
Today your ride heads north to Port Pollensa. The town, famous for being Mallorca's cycling base is thronging with life. Enjoy the stunning bay and beautiful beach as you finish your ride on the coast.

If you want a real challenge, take on the 40km route to the Cap Formentor lighthouse. The ride might only be 40km but it's non stop climbing and descending. You'll ride past mountain goats grazing, descend through a fresh pine forest and out to the cap. The ride provides spectacular views across the sparkling Mediterranean and there are plenty of great spots to get some photos.

Choose from any type of accommodation in the port, from small apartments, luxury resorts and family friendly hotels.
Day 6 - Departure
Remember all our holidays can be tailored to you so if you fancy a couple of extra days riding or a day or two relaxing on Port Pollensa's beaches, just ask your cycling experience team and we will create a bespoke holiday for you.

If this is the end of your cycling holiday, we will provide a return transfer to the airport.

What a fantastic cycle trip on the coast to coast flatlands tour in Majorca. Cycling through rural Majorca was wonderful. The hotels were amazing, the transfer of both ourselves and the baggage was professional and timely, the routes were fantastic - just the right length and mostly on quiet country roads. We can not recommend this trip or Love Velo for the organisation highly enough.
