Arrive & Depart At Any Time
A Typical Itinerary
Day 1
Fly into Palma and be privately transferred to Alcudia in the north of the island. Incredibly pretty, Alcudia will be your perfectly located base for the duration of your stay, in a 4* adults only hotel. Discover the medieval city, cosy cafes and boutiques before riding around the bay.
Day 2
Today we recommend the iconic ride out to Cap Formentor lighthouse, at the tip of the island. Probably the most stunning 40km ride in Europe, you will traverse the winding road as it snakes through limestone jagged rocks. The rollercoaster takes you through quiet forest and out on to exposed sections of road with the cliffs plunging into the sea below. Enjoy a coffee at the lighthouse before making your way back and spending the rest of your day discovering the mountains or the flatlands.
Day 3
Mallorca often feels like a cyclist's theme park and today, you can enjoy the legendary Sa Calobra. At 9.5km and averaging 7%, this is where British Cycling and Team Sky have honed their skills. The views from the road are breathtaking. Combine Sa Calobra with a ride to the caves of Campanet, the monastery in Lluc, or the climbs out over Soller. We have GPX files of all of these routes for you to follow.
Day 4
If you fancy a day out of the mountains, riding to Port Pollensa and out to Pollensa old town is a beautiful route. The ride is quite flat and you will have the sea on your right hand side as you ride all the way from Alcudia to Port Pollensa. Grab a coffee in Pollensa old town before heading back through Sa Pobla. After your ride, your transfer vehicle will be waiting to whisk you back to Palma airport.

I was originally going to arrange a self-organised trip to Mallorca with 16 of my friends as a 50th birthday but after a recommendation from a friend, one conversation with Oli (who clearly knew his stuff!), it became clear that they could do a lot of the heavy lifting for a similar price. Highly Recommend Love Velo for Group Trips. I used Love Velo to organise a group cycle trip for 18 guys in their late 60's and 70's. Love Velo were very helpful taking time to find the best trip for us. They managed a group booking that went from 15 to 16 to 17 and finally 18 riders over a few months. They recommended the Alexander Bike Hotel in Gabbice Mare (Emilia Romagna) which was great. We were very well looked after and had no complaints about anything and really enjoyed having two guides with us each day. They handled our dinner reservations (for 18!) each night and arranged a great wine tasting and lunch on our way back from San Marino on the last day. A seamless and very low stress trip. We will use Love Velo again!
