Our Provence Reviews
The most memorable Valentines weekend in Provence, every extra we asked for was taken care off and Lewis always gave us the feel that nothing was to much trouble, hotel, area and bikes were amazing. Looking forward to our Tuscan adventure in October. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

We recently toured Provence with Love Velo - the hotels were lovely, the bikes considerably better & lighter than most touring bikes and the organisation before and during the trip was seamless. All in all a wonderful break.

We genuinely had the best holiday we've ever had. We booked Love Velo for a cycling trip around Provence, France. The communication running up to the trip was fantastic and hey planned the trip perfectly. The rides were fab and were well tailored to what our capabilities were, with planned cafe stops and amazing stop offs in beautiful towns that we would never have found ourselves. Each hotel was fantastic, getting better each day, and the trip was exactly as we hoped - stress free! Baggage transfers were a must and our bags were always waiting for us when we got to each hotel. Can't wait to book the next one! :D

Ride Amongst Lavender & Sunflowers in Provence
There’s nothing quite like cycling through Provence in summer, when the landscape explodes into a sea of lavender and sunflowers. Sault and Luberon provide a backdrop of golden sunflower heads whilst intimate lavender lanes are nestled among Luberon hilltop villages like Gordes, and Bonnieux.

Cycling Through Vineyards in Provence
Provence is filled with world famous vineyards, some of which were sewn as far back as Roman times. Côtes du Rhône grapes grow in world famous vineyards such as Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape and quiet back‑roads weave you through renowned estates.
Medieval Villages in Provence
Provence is stitched together by a tapestry of charismatic towns and dreamy little villages. From Avignon, known as the City of Popes to sleepy villages, Provence is the perfect place to cycle. We highly recommend visiting L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, a true gem. This waterside village, often dubbed the “Venice of Provence,” is a haven of antique shops, slow-turning water wheels and peaceful cafés.
Incredible Climbing
If you're a seasoned cyclist looking for the ultimate adventure, Provence has some of the most spectacular climbing in Europe. Tackling Mont Ventoux is a rite of passage, the stuff of cycling legend. Known as the “Giant of Provence,” this bald, wind-swept mountain towers above the region, offering three iconic routes to its summit. Whether you climb from Bédoin, Malaucène or Sault, each ascent is a test of legs and spirit, with epic views and a sense of achievement that stays with you long after the descent. If you're crazy enough, you could even join the Club des Cingles and ride all 3 sides in under 24 hours.
Just a few pedal strokes away, the Gorges de la Nesque offers a very differen, but equally unforgettable ride. This stunning canyon road snakes its way through cliffs and tunnels, with panoramic vistas unfolding at every turn. It’s quieter, less brutal than Ventoux, but every bit as breathtaking. Combine the two in one unforgettable ride and you’ll see Provence at its most dramatic and awe-inspiring a perfect blend of challenge and reward, best experienced on two wheels.
