Day 1Arrival

You have the day to explore Jordan’s capital city, Amman, at your leisure. There will be a welcome meeting at the hotel in the evening followed by a dinner where you can get to know your fellow cyclists.

Day 2Amman to Dead Sea

Get a taste of Jordan’s rich history as you visit the ancient Citadel and Roman Amphitheater, which is 3000 years old. Your first ride will incorporate a 2km ascent, followed by a descent towards the Zarga River. This river is featured in the bible as the Jabbok River, where Jacob wrestled with God. Take a transfer to the magnificent Dead Sea, where you can enjoy a float in the famous salt waters.

Day 3Dead Sea to Dana

Today begins below sea level, on one of the lowest points on earth. You will take a transfer to Mount Nebo, which is the spot Moses looked across to the ‘Promised Land’. There will be scenic highlights of brown rocky mountains merged with luscious green ones, as you cycle the dirt trail to the Madaba plateau. The Wadi Zarqa Maâ and Zarqa Maâ dam will lead you to the edge of Dana Biosphere, Jordan’s largest nature reserve. It is the habitat for numerous species of wildlife in Dana village, which has been populated since 4,000 BC.

Day 4Dana to Little Petra

This morning you can explore Shobak Castle, constructed in 1115 during the Crusades. Today features the most ascents and there will be a combination of dirt trails and road routes. You will come across some amazing scenery today, whether that’s the mountains of Ras-Al-feid and Mount Safaha or the impressive Jordan Valley. As the elevation gets higher, your finishing point of Petra will be in sight. You will spend the night in a Bedouin camp.

Day 5Petra Discovery

Petra is bursting with archaeological wonders. Enjoy a tour around this stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site, also known as a new Seventh Wonder of the World. You can walk through the stunning entrance of the Treasury to the Siq and after lunch you will have free time to use at your leisure. Whether you choose to visit the Monastery for views across the sweeping Jordan Valley or the High Place of Sacrifice is entirely up to you.

Day 6Rajif to Wadi Rum

After cycling through some typical desert landscape, a trademark of the middle east, you will be on your way to Wadi Um. The largest Wadi in Jordan, it has been featured on Red Planet and was the backdrop to Lawrence of Arabia. After lunch at a Bedouin Camp you wo;; catch a jeep and drive through the reserve. As the sun sets, experience a beautiful night under the stars.

Day 7Wadi Rum to Aqaba

Today you can enjoy the unique experience of cycling on salt flats in the Wadi Rum. After a transfer to Aqaba, located on Jordan’s coast line there will be a lazy lunch on a boat as you cruise around the Red Sea. You will have the chance to snorkel and swim amongst the vibrant coral. Tonight there will be a farewell dinner to celebrate an amazing trip.

Day 8Departure

After breakfast it will be time to say goodbye to your fellow cyclists after an incredible trip.
